If you're accustomed to real butter and you don't want a margarine that tastes like margarine, be warned - you'll have a hard time finding it, and you won't find it here. However, I thought this was a fine-tasting butter substitute. I used it with mashed potatoes and dinner rolls.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using Country Crock! You get such a large amount for such a good price. It's easy to measure out, when using it for cooking, or easy to just use for toast. It is more health conscious than regular butter as well, which is a plus!

It's the best. My grandmother passed this brand on to me swearing by it. Every one in my family buys it. We all love country crock!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster, however it unfortunately does not taste at all like what your butter has always taste like. I'm not sure if it's because the product was shipped to me on ice, or if it's because something is different. The taste isn't awful, but it's definitely not good. I was asked to leave an honest review, so I have. It's not very often do I write that something taste bad, but unfortunately in this case, I had too.

I love this margarine! I've been using this spread for a while and it tastes rich and flavorful. A great and versatile spread. A spread that can be used on to cook anything in a pan, on muffins, sandwiches, toast etc. Has to be my absolute favorite butter substitute.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been a few years since I have purchased Country Crock though back then I thought it was pretty good. I mostly purchase butter now but occasionally purchase butter-like spreads. When I was given the chance to test this product, I had no reservations. Unfortunately it did not taste how I remembered it. It had an "off" taste and while looking like butter does not come anywhere close in flavor (I know it's not supposed to taste just like it but it is unsettling to me how different it tastes while trying to look the same). I don't know if it is the recipe change or if my taste buds have changed over the years. It's still ok, definitely edible but not something that I would buy. My kids liked it just fine though they are not picky (unless we are talking veggies).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Original Country Crock buttery spread and it worked great to make our chocolate chip cookies! We used this instead of traditional butter/shortening and our cookies cake out light and fluffy and my children liked that the cookies did not get hard and crumbly when they cooled. I got the coupon to buy the product free but this is 100% my own opinion. I also liked that the taste of the cookie did not change but by using Country Crock I reduced the amount of saturated fat by almost half if what it normally is using the traditional recipe. The only baking tip I would give is to keep your dough cold until ready to use, and make sure the Country Crock is cold as well. Overall, great product! ****½*...

Just bought our first tub of the new container. Not happy with new taste. Our family has used this product for years. The brand new tub will be thrown out and we are now on the mission of finding a new butter. The only way we will ever go back to using Country Crock is if the recipe reverts back. It is like losing a member of the family. :(
