It is smooth and creamy and depending on what you are using it for, makes the food taste the same way. Not heavy like cheap margrines. My husband had a heart attack and since then, we have used Country Crock products.

Clever move changing the shape of the container. However changing the recipe and still saying original was not RIGHT! The new country crock smells and tastes nasty. This was a huge mistake. Bring back the REAL original!!!!!!!!! Raise the price but don't change the recipe. This will become your "New Coke" as far as my family is concerned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for reviewing purposes. I used to buy any brand that was on sale, but after trying this country crook butter I won't go bck to any other. I love the way it melts and taste in out bread and pancakes.

Just got back from the store. I had to go buy some Blue Bonnet. This new formula Country Crock is not Edible! I have used Country Crock for 20+ years but until the formula is changed back I will never buy it again. This new stuff ruins anything it touches.

I have been a fan for many years and like everyone else when you switched the recipe I thought it was my taste buds that were eskiew. After reviewing and looking online, I saw that this is not the case. Though I understand why you change the recipe to make it healthier and simple, it changed what people liked about Country Crock, the TASTE! Remember when Coke thought it would be a good idea to change the formula to New Coke, they had to go back to the original formula. Country Crock should consider offering both recipes, the new and the old and let the customers decide. Then look at your numbers and see what you sell more of. Until then I will be searching for a replacement butter/spread for my food needs. Sorry that I am going to have to switch. We wish you the best.

I had been using Country Crock for years. When they changed the recipe things I used to love with butter are now disgusting with it. When I used this 'new recipe' on a griddle to make pancakes it sizzled like crazy and then crystallized on the pan. Whatever they put in it, it is not natural. Do not eat this butter. Switch to Blue Bonnet unless you want to lose weight because nothing is edible with Country Crock butter now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I prefer real butter, but in a bind I will use margarine. Country Crock is what I tried this past week for several of my cooking needs. I live in a small town where real butter was way too expensive, but Country Crock was decently priced. No one could tell the difference between our normal butter and this. It spreads easily, melts easily, and takes great. Never will I use the store brand margarine again if in a bind.
