If there was a zero rating I would use that. I knew there would be a difference when they changed it, but I thought for the better. Boy I was horribly wrong. When I used the new stuff for the first time, I put some on hot rice and immediately smelled it, and it did not smell good. I tasted it and it was nasty tasting. I threw the new container away and have since changed to another brand until they bring back the old recipe, it was good tasting.

The flavor is incredible and I don't miss butter. Not only can I save money but calories as well. I use it on my veggies for a rich buttery flavor. It works amazing in cookies also. It nicely melts on it but still maintain a slight buttery flavor that tastes delicious. I have not tried baking with it, but I use it almost every day as a spread on toast or muffins. I love the taste of Country Crock Original. It's very smooth and spreads so easily. I use it on toast, pancakes, and in recipes that call for butter. I didn't notice a difference in the taste.
