Country Crock is soft and easy to spread, UNLIKE real butter, and it tastes soft and buttery, too. I love how it comes in a spreadable container and you just scoop out what you need, so simple, even for small beginner hands. I love how smooth the texture is so it spreads super easy. I switched from this version to the one with calcium & vitamin D a while back and enjoy it as well. Well, this was not bad. I'm not a fan of it on toast where I can really taste it, but it is great on mashed potatoes and for cooking.

Bought the new tub and thought it had read same old recipe but I was mistaken till got home and it read new simple recipe. It is terrible!! We have bought country crock since I was a kid and I am 37 yrs old and my husband has had the same butter as well. It tastes terrible and now going to have to switch to another brand cause we can't eat it! Please switch back!!!

Now I use butter at least twice a day and unsalted butter at least twice a day (aspiring baker). Now as for normal day use mostly to me...butter is butter,but to be able to use in place of unsalted butter is a real treat! The butter itself has to have a rich flavor in order to accommodate for taste in unsalted butter recipes. So I put country crock to the test in a flaky pie shell. Let me tell you,the pie crust came out beautifully! It was light and airy and the taste was spot on. It had a strong buttery taste(which is what I was looking for) that wasn't overpowering but strong enough to compliment the taste of cherry pie without the buttery flavor getting lost in the filling. As most know if you use salted butter all you really have to do is decrease the salt needed in the recipe but for me the butter/margarine has to have that certain special something for me to use in place of unsalted and country crock has now definitely become my go to for baking. I also love how it comes in the small containers,which I'll use for toast,muffins,etc... and the larger tubs which I will be keeping on hand for baking. Top notch product and I will definitely be recommending this to others
