I have used Contry Crock original recipe for years. Recently I purchased the new sqare tube and it tasted bad. I thought it was old so I trashed it and purchased another. Same taste! I noticed that it said new simple recipe so why is it still called original? I guess I need to find a new margarine before Thanksgiving. I can't use this rank stuff in my food!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been years since I have tried Country Crock Original spread, and I was really pleasantly surprised! It was so smooth and creamy and was so much easier to spread butter on bread. I also like the option of just being able to pull it immediately out of the refrigerator and spread it easily on items, without having to let it soften first. Taste wise, it is good. On tasting like butter I would rate an 8/10. It is very creamy and tasted very good on everything I have put it on so far. I would recommend this product!

I worry that perhaps it is not as healthy as real butter, but it is good for so many things and more easily maneuvered that I mix the two. I used my product exclusively instead of my regular product. It gave my cooking a butter taste without the butter. it melts well and they have sticks to make cooking easier.

But with that being said I always keep a small tub of Country Crock to spread on my toast and grilled cheese. I got a free sample coupon for my review but I have been using this brand for years.

Ive bought country crock for over 15 years and it has been my go to spread in that time. What you are now passing off as original reciepe tastes nothing like the country crock i know and loved and is actually quite disgusting. Bring back the real original if you ever want any more of my money.
