I'm apparently in the minority here. I think the new Country Crock has a much more butter-like taste, with a unique edgy tang that might be from the addition of vinegar to the recipe. I fully understand, though, why long-time users might be upset. The new recipe tastes VERY different from the old. I also see how the new "edginess" that I really like in this new version is exactly what could put a lot of people off. It is truly something of an "acquired taste" now.

It is easy to spread and melts nicely on toast and english muffins. I also used it in macaroni and cheese for a rich taste without all of the calories.

I use it in the morning with breakfast to cook my eggs instead of oil, or on toast or bagel with some jam, I put it on a warmed tortilla for a snack, even on a baked potato for dinner Country Crock's is a must in my house.

I also enjoy using it to cook with, as it is easy for me to take a dollop (or what ever amount is necessary) out of the tub, as it is so soft. The new shape of the container is fantastic as it takes up less space in the refrigerator and is easily stackable.

I love the packaging, stores so perfectly in our fridge. As for the actual taste, it works well with all our cooking needs and I prefer a spread as opposed to a stick anyways.

I grew up with Country Crock Original and use it til this day. My most vivid memory is spreading Country Crock Original on fresh warmly baked corn bread on Sunday mornings. I haven't had corn bread in a long time but every time I see Country Crock in the stores, that is the warm image that pops in my head.

I love that it is gluten free, and contains no preservatives! We made some gluten free cookie's with it, and they tasted amazing!! We always have a tub on the counter for everything from recipes to snacks. My grandma passed her love of country crock down to me and my sister. I can count on country crock for quality.
