Have always purchased sourdough even when the TASTE is so mild it doesn't taste sourdough. A week ago I bought sourdough and this time, its bad! I do not taste any sourdough -- maybe the baker needs more time to RESTART the sourdough to make it taste like sourdough NOT JUST HOW IT LOOKS!

Great bread. Can slice to preferred thickness. I can't have it because of the high carbs, and need to loose 15 pounds to reach my goal. But my husband loves it. And so do I, when I cut just a tiny bit of loaf, warm up , with some roasted garlic...mmmm and stay below my 100 carbs a day. Shhhh. Don't tell my doctor.

Normally I make my own sourdough but it's been so hot this summer. So I bought this bread bowl %26 I have to say, it was absolutely terrible. It had a very chemical-y taste that made me think they are using something to increase the sourness, but it isn't citric acid, it's some chemical that tasted so awful I just threw the loaf away. Really bad. Also pretty dry. Man, is this what people who don't make their own bread are used to??? That is a sad state of affairs. I've bought dollar loaves at Walmart that tasted better.

Go no further if you like San Francisco Sourdough bread you found it!! Lived in SF for years and now the Gulf Coast. This is the first sourdough I have found that tastes just like the SF sourdough. No more having friends send me bread from SF. You can cut this with a bread knife for sandwiches, Soup bowls, pull apart garlic bread, toast and when it gets a little older, you can make bread pudding. So many options thank you Sam’s Club for carrying this.

I have been continuously been disappointed in bread in our area. I like you baguettes but the flavor is weak and not great for toasting. Then on the lower shelf I found your Sourdough, WOW Great Sourdough taste and texture. This is now the only bread my family and I eat! BRAVO!

Sourdough bread is an all time favorite and a healthy choice. Pleasantly surprised to find this at Sam's. Would have been terrific to have it sliced but that did not deter my purchase. This way I can slice as thick or thin as I like. Great to toast and break into croutons.

This is my favorite sourdough bread and I am originally from San Francisco, California. This is saying a lot (Boudin is known for its quality). The whole family loves it too. I just have to slice it in smaller slices in order to maximize the use of it, sandwiches, mmm. It is delicious. We can enjoy this for the week. I might buy in multiples and freeze it (don't slice it- it'll stay fresh longer). It is in low stock, but I plan on buying another one soon!

The flavor of the sourdough is very good and it has a nice moist texture inside. I don’t what they do in making this bread but sometimes the outside crust is so tough, my electric knife has a difficult time cutting through it. It even makes the blades heat up.

This bread was pretty good, but I like the sourdough bread from other places better. The crust/outer edges were good but the middle was too soft and crumbly. It tasted like white bread not much of a sourdough flavor. The price was really good. I might get it again if I’m already at Sam’s club.

Cut in thin slices and use for sandwiches. Froze half of it for later.,
