I wanted the sliced bread, but they were out. I thought I could slice this…WRONG! I used a bread knife, 4 other types with NO diggers. I ended up opening my new electric knife. Nope! I had to try to rip through the crust to then use the electric knife. Bottom line, I ended up with a bunch of dry bread crumbs, a mess, and obtained 3 slices…that are falling apart!

Bread must be eaten the day it’s bought or the very next day. It will get dry if it sits for more than 2 days. HOWEVER, it’s so delicious that you will eat it all once it’s opened. We love dipping it in Members Mark soup! Especially the cheddar broccoli!!

Sourdough bread is an all time favorite and a healthy choice. Pleasantly surprised to find this at Sam's. Would have been terrific to have it sliced but that did not deter my purchase. This way I can slice as thick or thin as I like. Great to toast and break into croutons.

The flavor of the sourdough is very good and it has a nice moist texture inside. I don’t what they do in making this bread but sometimes the outside crust is so tough, my electric knife has a difficult time cutting through it. It even makes the blades heat up.

Have searched everywhere…groceries, markets, specialty stores…to find good sourdough bread. Saw this for the first time at Sam’s so decided to give it a try. What a wonderful find! Finally, sourdough that is as good as found in San Francisco. Thank you….please don’t discontinue it.

This bread is always baked perfectly and has a subtle sour flavor which is what I look for in SDB. It toasts nicely and is easy to slice. I wish Sam's would consider selling it already sliced but that may effect the freshness of the product. I hope Sam's continues selling this bread for a long time.

Good taste, mainly when it is fresh. Unfortunately they pack it in plastic bag which kills the crustiness after a day. If you can get the one backed in the same day and change package it will be good. If it is from previous day or older you may want to put it back in the oven before eating.

This bread was pretty good, but I like the sourdough bread from other places better. The crust/outer edges were good but the middle was too soft and crumbly. It tasted like white bread not much of a sourdough flavor. The price was really good. I might get it again if I’m already at Sam’s club.

Started making my own sourdough, but paused to reactivate my starter. I figured I would try this sourdough although most commercial loaves lack the sourdough flavor. Not so with Sam’s round loaf. It was very tasty and had excellent crumb consistency. Highly recommend this product if you enjoy sourdough bread.

The best sour dough in the world used to come from San Francisco. Last trip there I was disappointed to try my old favorite, like everything else nowadays it's not as good as it once was. Tried every other sour dough I could find every brand a let down! Thank you Sam's Club your sour dough is now the best I can find, actually sour like it's supposed to be with a tough exterior and soft exterior! Do Not Change It
