You'll enjoy this Sourdough Bread.

I was so surprised to find this quality of bread on the shelf. It has a very nice crust and I made French Toast with 1/2 of it and the other half was used for a Boule bread loaded with butter and cheeses. Sliced better with a smooth knife instead of a serrated bread knife.

A decent sourdough bread.

Great bread and decent sourdough flavor. We're big fans for sourdough and this is pretty good for this area :) We did prefer the smaller loaves (4 to a pack) rather than the single large. There was more versatility such as heating for a meal with guests, using as a soup bowl...

Sourdough Breas

I will definitely purchase this bread again. It was so fresh and delicious. I stored the unused portion in the freezer and was able to get the same taste when thawed. Mmmm!

Nice strong sourdough flavor.

Much better than we expected. Strong sourdough flavor to go with soups or salads. Freezes easily after it is cut into slices. We found if you freeze it after cutting it and then thaw it in the microwave in the plastic wrap you get a moist chewy texture. If you prefer a crustier taste, don't freeze it. The only downside is you slice it yourself. However, then you can slice it the size you want and not just really thin sandwich slices.

Real deal!

Although I miss the smaller boules this is real sour dough bread. I do wish SAMs would buy a slicer machine to slice it for us. I have a large bread knife and find it easier to slice if the bread is slightly frozen first. This sour dough is addicting!

Best sourdough around

This is hands down my favorite sourdough and I’ve turned my friends and family onto it as well with rave reviews from everyone. Flavor is a 10/10. Super light, airy texture and freezes really well! Loved the smaller pack of 4 boules when Sams had those but I’m glad they still have this is a larger loaf format!

Great tasting!

Great original sourdough bread taste. The only downside is It’s difficult for my wife to cut the slices with the knife due to her arm and shoulder injury. But love thr taste.

Sourdough loaf

The sourdough loaf was excellent but awkward in size- slicing it was hard due to the size. I asked them if they would slice the bread for me but the woman behind the counter very rudely said they don't slice bread. Now what store that sells bread doss not have a bread slicer?!

Great Tasting Sour Dough Round

Flavorful, sourdough round loaf - not too sour or salty. Good texture with soft inside and slightly firm crust. Crust is firm enough to use as a spinach dip bowl, but not overly chewy. Keeps mold free relatively long. I cut the round in half and then make slices a little less than 1/2 inch thick. I'd love if there was a slicer available at the stores to put the loaf through. Good price for size.

A Major Screwup

Although the bread is an excellent product, Sam's had ruined it as it is no longer offered unsliced. I have eaten a self-sliced toasted piece of this bread daily since Sam's started offering it. To toast Sourdough Bread you must have a slice 3/4 to 1 inch thick to maintain the bread texture. The thin slices now provided merely dry out to the consistency of a rice cake before they get toasted. I don't know who at Sam's made the "brilliant decision" to no longer offer the bread unsliced, but he/she obviously doesn't know anything about the product.
