Convenient and efficient

We've been wanting a duo for a while now and liked the idea of freeing up space on the counter top. However, this model is not the one. The kcup side was working okay, but this morning my cup was FULL of grounds. Not acceptable. We've owned several Keurigs and this has never been an issue. The carafe coffee is okay, but doesn't keep the coffee very hot and there is no option to make the warming plate hotter. We tested the temp of the carafe coffee and it was about 184 degrees. I haven't noticed any leaking of the carafe like others have. It has a round basket filter, not a cone (which we prefer). Don't fill it too much with or you'll have grounds in your pot. We used six heaping tablespoons and it almost overflows the basket once the water goes through. Basically…if you like warm-ish, grainy coffee you'll love this machine, but we're returning and the search continues.

love the concept of full pot and k-cup availability - BUT.... i have same issue that several below seem to have. I purchased this model from Sam's Club. For the life of me, this carafe drips coffee EVERYWHERE when pouring a cup. It doesn't matter if you pour fast or slow or how carefully you pour.... it drips.... all over the counter. I love the coffee this brews.... WHAT IS YOUR ANSWER KEURIG? CAN YOU PROVIDE A CARAFE THAT DOESN'T DRIP???

We've had this Keurig for 3 months now. We don't use the carafe because it leaks so bad. More coffee lands on my counter than in my cup. I've sent an email to Keurig directly asking for a replacement. I also agree with other reviews that not being able to control the heating pad is a bad design. Other than that, the coffee is great flavor and I like that I can choose different sizes. Hopefully Keurig sends us a functioning carafe.

I had had this machine for 14 months. It stopped brewing a full pot or a k-cup. So I tried descaling and now it's frozen in descaling mode. The pot dripped coffee. However when it was working the coffee did brew well and tasted great. But now it's not working so I'm left using my French press until I decide on a new coffee maker.

While searching for a replacement Keurig I stumbled upon this model and thought why not? Pros- large water container. Cons- handle to lift top of water container is not very big and I end up having to pull coffee maker out from its space to lift kid and fill with water. Carafe leaks no matter how careful it's poured and there's no way to turn timers on the off if you want to before auto shuts off. Sometimes it seems to get hung up when making a cup of coffee and just sits there until you select sizes again. Doesn't always seem to make a hot cup of coffee, I don't know what causes the temp fluctuations. Because of the carafe leaking I don't use it much so I would probably look for just a Kcup Keurig as a replacement maker down the road.

Personally I am not understanding why folks are having trouble with this coffee maker. I have had my for about a week now and I am totally loving my purchase. I have used the carafe side and the K-Cup single side. Very easy to use. I also love the fact that this has a water reservoir in the back. I had the Hamilton Beach duo also and this duo coffee maker is way faster. Yes you have to use 4 buttons, yes there is no coffee filter. But at least with the reservoir you don't have to pour water every time you want a cup of coffee. The only complaint I do have...the reservoir could be a bit larger like other Keurig models. But that is pretty minor...

Loved the concept and large reservoir. The 2nd time I used the coffee pot side, I made a 10 cup pot. The grounds flooded and over flowed into the lid and joints. Takes forever to clean. Happened each time. 5th use today....it overflowed onto the counter, and the ground. Kerrigan is usually great. This feels very cheap and cheap plastic. Now I have to return it. It's out of stock now- looking for a better version. So disappointing. Also....it had an error the first time we used it, but eventually went away. Avoid!!!
