So far I am just reviewing their customer service. I received the hoop yesterday and the very first step I goofed. NOTE: when it tells you to line up the slot with the screw hole, THERE ARE 2 SCREW HOLES AT THE BOTTOM, make sure you line up with the correct one. After I incorrectly put the poles together and realize this would make the hoop point in the wrong direction, I tried for an hour to get the poles apart using the drop method that they recommend. No luck. I called customer support this morning and they shipped me two new poles for free. That is one of the best CS experiences I have ever had!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this for our kids for Christmas. They have loved it. They are outside almost everyday. We filled the base with water. I have been a little nervous during some big wind storms that it would fall over and break but it hasn't even moved. I have been impressed with how sturdy it is. I also like that it is easy to move the hoop up and down. I would highly recommend this product.

I sent this to my daughter's home and went there for Thanksgiving to put it together for her kids. It arrived on Wednesday, but a major part was missing. According to Lifetime it takes 2 or 3 days to process an overnight shipment order to get the part. Very disappointing situation since I live 10 hous away, and the company is unable to correct their error quickly.

Takes some time to build but instructions are easy to understand. Need some basic tools. Biggest advice-get a friend to help. I did it alone and its long and ackward. All parts were there. Little giggley on long shots but fine. Adjustable hoop works well and is nice. Filled base with water. May your shots only hit rope

I bought this for my son and his friends who use it all the rime. They only issue we've experienced is that water doesn't work. They boys seem to be able to knock it down so I filled the base with sand and it works wonderfully. I would recommend this product to any family but would suggest the use of sand instead of water.

this system is a very high quality system that was fairly easy to set up and use. the only problem with it thats keeping it from being 5 stars for me is honestly the net isnt that great but besides that like i said it is a very good and hugh quality system

Everything about this unit is great except for the one moving part it has, the height adjustment mechanism. The height adjustment failed after just 3 weeks of use. While assembling it, (admittedly I'm an engineer) I noticed the plate that is supposed to hold the hoop in place was not sufficient and would likely fail because it was 1/2" smaller than it should be for it to really work well and the spring that is used to move the plate back and forth inside the handle was really week. Unfortunately, I was right!! Now the hoop cannot be locked in place at any height, it just goes all the way down with gravity. Totally disappointing after spending the many hours to put it together.

This hoop had everything going for it for the price...from ease of assembly to ease of height adjustment. However...the backboard is quite shaky when rebounding off the glass. You expect some shake because its a portable...but I think its excessive. The shake appears to be due at least in part to some play in the height adjustment arms...the arms and backboard move when pushing up and down on the arms. Too shaky for my tastes. I am surprised not to see more reviews on the shaking...or maybe they were censored?

Free shipping was a plus. Basketball hoop was easy to install. Definitely need at least 2 adults to assemble. Using water for the base and it seems to be stable. It's also relatively easy to move around. Not sure if that would be the case if I loaded 400lbs of sand. Overall, a great buy!

I bought this item in Oct 2010, my wife and I put it together w/o any major problems. My kids now 9 and 12 have used it endlessly with all their friends and it has held up prefectly. (Knock on wood). I am now putting this system into the ground using the extension and ground sleeve I bought from Lifetime. -- I highly recomend this product.
