[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Action Grip Portable Basketball System. During the assembly we needed a replacement bolt. I called the company (800 # listed on the front of the assembly instructions - genius!). It was easy to get through to a live person and they were happy to send a replacement part free of charge and it came in a few days (sooner than they told me it would). Also once we put it up we found a few untied knots in the net that we couldn't retie. I called CS again and same story - happy tos send a replacement net at no charge. Lastly the product was reasonably priced and very good quality.

Finally, I have received my required parts on May 20. It took a month to arrive. Don’t know why? I have been patiently waiting since April 18. The last call (3rd call) I have made was on May 14 to check where the parts are. Each time, I have to wait for 40 minutes to an hour to have someone answer the phone. Although, the customer service person is polite and courteous. Just like other customer’s review, the instruction is not clear and complete. So is the APP. It doesn’t show you all the step pictures (APP) from scratch to the end. Lifetime should treat your each customer is first time buyer (installer) and doesn’t know anything about this product. Lastly, I have problem to tighten the ADS screw. Because of several time of screw and unscrew, it makes the hole slightly enlarge. Can you send me 2 screw which are slightly large size than ADS? Thank you for your service.

This is a great basketball system. It's very easy to move the backboard up and down. I looked at that same system online at other places and no one came close to the walmart price. All parts were accounted for. I hired someone to assemble for me, he put it together in less than 45 minutes. He suggested filling the base with water and 2 gallons of Boat/RV anti freeze (environmentally safe) so that it doesn't freeze in the winter. The system/backboard is not too big for a 2 car driveway. The backboard does not make a loud sound when the basketball hits it like some other systems do, this one is good quality. I highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this for our kids for Christmas. They have loved it. They are outside almost everyday. We filled the base with water. I have been a little nervous during some big wind storms that it would fall over and break but it hasn't even moved. I have been impressed with how sturdy it is. I also like that it is easy to move the hoop up and down. I would highly recommend this product.

This hoop had everything going for it for the price...from ease of assembly to ease of height adjustment. However...the backboard is quite shaky when rebounding off the glass. You expect some shake because its a portable...but I think its excessive. The shake appears to be due at least in part to some play in the height adjustment arms...the arms and backboard move when pushing up and down on the arms. Too shaky for my tastes. I am surprised not to see more reviews on the shaking...or maybe they were censored?

Great product after we finally got it assembled. Two bolts broke delaying set up until a quick trip to the hardware store. They were the two bolts connecting the rim through the backboard to the pole. Bolts twisted off before they got tight. Another challenge is that the assembly instructions never indicated what the best position for the pole and backboard assembly should be in to complete a specific step. Despite the issues it is a very good product and lots of fun for the granddaughter.

Great sturdy portable BB hoop. Definitely plan on at least 3 hrs of assembly with at least one other adult. My father in law and I spent a little over 3 hours this past Sunday. The directions are very good and you must read them in detail and follow precisely. My son loves it. After reading some of the comments from other hoops, I'm glad I bucked up for the extra large base and larger backboard.

Bought this in September but due to life, we just put it together after sitting in our garage in the box. Loved hearing the sound of the basketball hitting the pavement in our driveway but after less than 24hrs of "lite" use from myself and our 10yr old, the hoop will not stay up. It's like the adjustment piece came loose and won't catch, my husband tried tightening it and it will not stay up. So bummed, this was our son's birthday gift and not a cheap purchase for it to last for such a short amount of time :(

I'm very handy, but during assembly, I got confused twice. One confusion resulted in having to undo and redo assembling quite a bit because I got the poll backwards with the rim hanging over the base. Oops! The problem could have been easily avoided with a change in the picture in section 2.2 where you connect the poll to the base. It does say "with the lip...," but a better picture (even with the lip identified) would have helped. Another section is clearly wrong. In section 6.1, the "Right Frame Pad (BAB)" is clearly pictured differently than the Right Frame Pad under "Parts Required." In the picture in Section 6.1, Left and Right are reversed. As a final comment, the self-drilling screws are very hard to install with a rechargeable, battery drill. A corded drill would be much better.

It took forever and a half for us to decipher the directions and how to put the pieces together. We called/ chatted for help several times and had to invite friends over to help assemble it. Please work on clarifying directions so that it does not take so long. That said, the assembled product is great to use.
