Great sturdy portable BB hoop. Definitely plan on at least 3 hrs of assembly with at least one other adult. My father in law and I spent a little over 3 hours this past Sunday. The directions are very good and you must read them in detail and follow precisely. My son loves it. After reading some of the comments from other hoops, I'm glad I bucked up for the extra large base and larger backboard.

Hi I just bought this system and tomorrow I want to assemble it but the directions are pretty intense and I was wondering did lifetime ever get around to updating a video for customers to help put the LIFETIME ADJUSTABLE PORTABLE BASKETBALL HOOP (50-INCH POLYCARBONATE) Model: 71566 together becouse the instructions are not that good and confusing. But the hoop set up looks amazing and I just want to put it together for my kids without missing a step or using the wrong screws or something and have to take it all apart again. I love this product! I've had it for almost 10 years and my children have grown up playing on this hoop all day everyday and every chance they get. It's been very helpful being able to change the height of the hoop so easily and really enjoy having dunk contests with kids in the neighborhood. I got this hoop when my kids were 4 and 0. Now one is turning 14 in a couple of days and my 9 year old also loves this hoop so much. We might get one for our patio

It took forever and a half for us to decipher the directions and how to put the pieces together. We called/ chatted for help several times and had to invite friends over to help assemble it. Please work on clarifying directions so that it does not take so long. That said, the assembled product is great to use.

Purchased in Feb 1027 and our son loves it!! Was a little challenging putting together, but instructions were detailed enough for 2 people to easily put it together. In Oct 2017 the base developed a small leak which was a manufacturing defect. Customer Service reviewed the pictures sent and then sent a replacement without delay. What great customer service!! I wish more companies were this attentive to a customers needs..

A good sturdy system. Assembly instructions are not great but the end result is good. The height adjustment is nicely done - my son has been enjoying it thoroughly and improved his game after just 2 weeks of using the system daily. Overall this is a good deal for a basic basketball system.

The product is great but the support from Lifetime is absolutely fantastic. I lost some parts, they sent replacements without cost. I needed a new in-ground system adaption - they knew exactly what I needed and I was able to buy it quickly. Thanks!

The hoop is great and once built, it is super easy to adjust the height. However, it is a pain to build. The instructions are crummy and you need 3 people to assemble. The thing I hated the most was filling in sand. It is awkward to load 375 lbs of sand. I don't know why they designed the weights so bad. Caution: before you start filling sand/water make sure you are on a hard surface and almost where you want to place the hoop. They say it's easy to move around, but it's not.

This is a great basketball system. It's very easy to move the backboard up and down. I looked at that same system online at other places and no one came close to the walmart price. All parts were accounted for. I hired someone to assemble for me, he put it together in less than 45 minutes. He suggested filling the base with water and 2 gallons of Boat/RV anti freeze (environmentally safe) so that it doesn't freeze in the winter. The system/backboard is not too big for a 2 car driveway. The backboard does not make a loud sound when the basketball hits it like some other systems do, this one is good quality. I highly recommend this product.

Very solid construction. Backboard is nice and big. Height adjustment works easily and smoothly. As to the comments about instructions, I disagree about them being "horrible". The instructions were actually quite clear and easy to follow. You need to pay attention to the pictures and diagrams (notice where screw holes are positioned prior to putting pieces together, etc.) and read all of the instructions in each step. If you do that, then you shouldn't have any issues. Just a few times where you need someone else to hold / help put big pieces together.
