Great product, family plays basketball all the time, easy to change heights for the small kids and the hoop has not fallen in any strong gusts. One of the small net hook welds failed and fell off the rim, covered under warranty and new rim is on its way.

What amazing customer service! A crazy windstorm blew over my Lifetime basketball hoop last week. Somehow, the water sealant cap for the basin cracked and needed to be replaced. The folks at Lifetime helped me identify the proper replacement part, and are sending me a replacement, no questions asked. They were easy to deal with and quick to respond. Much appreciated.

We've only had this basketball system a few days, so time will tell how it will hold up, but it appears sturdy, and our nine-year-old son is thrilled with it. We have it at the 10-foot height since that is what our local kids' basketball league uses. It is indeed easy to adjust the height and, so far, our son loves it and it is withstanding the pounding it's getting with ease. We used the water-fill method, which recommends you put a little chlorine in the water to keep it clean. The assembly of this system is another matter. The instructional booklet, which is in small font and in several languages, making it visually confusing, estimates that it will take two to three hours for two adults to assemble the system. Be assured that this is the case unless you are particularly skilled with tools and parts. The "center-lock nut" was especially challenging to tighten, and two of the diagrams were unclear (3.2 and 3.3), resulting in us having to take off some nuts that we'd already tightened down (be sure in 3.2 you don't attach down the APZ u-bracket in this step - oh, and in step 3.1, be sure you don't attach anything to the backboard yet). There is also a mistake or lack of clarity in one of the diagrams (4.6) where it tells you to hand secure the short extension arms (AKC) to the top pole, but it actually shows a picture in that step of attaching the long extension arms (AKB), a confusing contrast which caused us trouble, too. It took my husband and I longer than estimated, and we ended up assembling it for a few hours daily over the course of three days. As suggested in the instructions, it would have been helpful to have a drill to put in the metal tapping screws, but we did not have a drill that could do that, so had to insert and tighten by hand (with wrench and plyers). Next time, I would consider paying for someone to assemble it for us. If you're great with tools, diagrams, and hardware, this may not be an issue for you.

Not only was the rep able to assist me with my issue, the patience displayed was remarkable. Thank you Lifetime for hiring reps willing to service your customers so efficiently.

A friend gave me a Lifetime Adjustable Portable Basketball hoop. The rim had been damaged and bent, so I phoned up customer service to buy a replacement rim. I full expected to pay for a rim (if they even had one in stock). To my UTTER DELIGHT, the customer service rep not only confirmed that they had replacement parts in stock but sent it to me at NO COST and NO SHIPPING. This is not something that I can promise they will do for everyone in every situation, but I was absolutely thrilled and delighted they did it for me. I'll tell you one thing: they've just won a customer for life.

Had to disassemble hoop to move it and lost some specific pieces. Gave Lifetime the part numbers and without hesitation they are sending me replacement parts. Well worth the premium price of the basketball hoop to have customer service be so amazing.

This is a good system. It is well made, has a solid frame, and sturdy. It adjusts from 7.5 to 10 ft very easily. Assembly was not bad. You will need help with certain components. It is important to have a good selection of tools to tackle the project more effectively (i.e. Drill, Wrenches, Screwdriver, Mallet, Clamps), or it will be harder. I wish the parts were labeled. 375lbs of sand is recommended for the base.

Price is what you pay. Value is what you get..... The product is great and the after sales service is even better. Got a bolt that didn't work and contacted customer services for a replacement. Fast follow up and the new bolt is on its way. The only reason that I give 4 stars because of the installation instruction. Could be improved by better parts description and name of the parts. I notice some bolts & parts in the packages are not exactly the one that need for that section.

Great quality. Great instructions. Great shipping. One could put this together in a few hours (two people needed at times). I, on the other hand, have taken a week! Actually, it's because of weather issues (rain). I know I am going to be very happy with this purchase.
