This product is well made and worth the money. All of the parts are sturdy and well built. The only negative was the time it took to put it together. We doubled the time that the vendor estimated so make sure to bring your patience and allow plenty of time to put it together. If I had to do it again I would have hired someone to put it together for me.

Built like a tank! This is a sturdy product. It is not easy to put together and you really do need two adults working in it; however the instructions are very thorough and the packaging makes it very easy to identify all the pieces for assembly (individual bags are labeled and contain all the pieces for each step in the directions). Customer service was very responsive despite operating during a pandemic. Very pleased with my purchase, but not as much as my kids are now that they can play hoops at home and social distance responsibly.

We've only had this basketball system a few days, so time will tell how it will hold up, but it appears sturdy, and our nine-year-old son is thrilled with it. We have it at the 10-foot height since that is what our local kids' basketball league uses. It is indeed easy to adjust the height and, so far, our son loves it and it is withstanding the pounding it's getting with ease. We used the water-fill method, which recommends you put a little chlorine in the water to keep it clean. The assembly of this system is another matter. The instructional booklet, which is in small font and in several languages, making it visually confusing, estimates that it will take two to three hours for two adults to assemble the system. Be assured that this is the case unless you are particularly skilled with tools and parts. The "center-lock nut" was especially challenging to tighten, and two of the diagrams were unclear (3.2 and 3.3), resulting in us having to take off some nuts that we'd already tightened down (be sure in 3.2 you don't attach down the APZ u-bracket in this step - oh, and in step 3.1, be sure you don't attach anything to the backboard yet). There is also a mistake or lack of clarity in one of the diagrams (4.6) where it tells you to hand secure the short extension arms (AKC) to the top pole, but it actually shows a picture in that step of attaching the long extension arms (AKB), a confusing contrast which caused us trouble, too. It took my husband and I longer than estimated, and we ended up assembling it for a few hours daily over the course of three days. As suggested in the instructions, it would have been helpful to have a drill to put in the metal tapping screws, but we did not have a drill that could do that, so had to insert and tighten by hand (with wrench and plyers). Next time, I would consider paying for someone to assemble it for us. If you're great with tools, diagrams, and hardware, this may not be an issue for you.

This basketball goal has turned out to be fun for the whole family. The installation took about 4 hours because very close attention to details in pictures is required and there are steps that are not as clear as they should be. Overall, the installation was not too difficult for two people to complete. The overall value is excellent and I would buy this again. This has become a magnet for our sports-minded family.

A friend gave me a Lifetime Adjustable Portable Basketball hoop. The rim had been damaged and bent, so I phoned up customer service to buy a replacement rim. I full expected to pay for a rim (if they even had one in stock). To my UTTER DELIGHT, the customer service rep not only confirmed that they had replacement parts in stock but sent it to me at NO COST and NO SHIPPING. This is not something that I can promise they will do for everyone in every situation, but I was absolutely thrilled and delighted they did it for me. I'll tell you one thing: they've just won a customer for life.

We purchased this backboard unit after my sons other one was destroyed by a large tree branch. We’ve had this one for almost 3 years and It has held up great with my son and his friends using it almost every day. Finally after a rather large slam dunk the metal weld under the basket cracked making the rim very wobbly. I sent an online warranty claim to Lifetime with a picture and the next day received an email saying a new rim was being shipped that day. Received it 4 days later installed it and everything is back to normal. Thanks Lifetime!! Great job!!

What amazing customer service! A crazy windstorm blew over my Lifetime basketball hoop last week. Somehow, the water sealant cap for the basin cracked and needed to be replaced. The folks at Lifetime helped me identify the proper replacement part, and are sending me a replacement, no questions asked. They were easy to deal with and quick to respond. Much appreciated.

Bought this a few weeks ago grandkids love it, and so do all the neighbors. The benefit of adjustment makes it great for everyone from the five year old just starting out to the teenager that's six foot tall. Great customer service department as well. Made ordering a replacement part a breeze. Had to replace an item I damaged. No fault of the product itself.

Looks good, but is Painful process to put it together. Lot of metal bolts and instructions / guide can be improved

I paid for "professional assembly" since some reviews mentioned difficulty assembly. Professional just means you pay for it-- doesn't mean the guys they send have ever done or have a clue what they are doing. Can't adjust the height. My money was totally wasted. I'd got with a company with their own assembly crew unless you just love DIY.
