Great product after we finally got it assembled. Two bolts broke delaying set up until a quick trip to the hardware store. They were the two bolts connecting the rim through the backboard to the pole. Bolts twisted off before they got tight. Another challenge is that the assembly instructions never indicated what the best position for the pole and backboard assembly should be in to complete a specific step. Despite the issues it is a very good product and lots of fun for the granddaughter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Action Grip Portable Basketball System. During the assembly we needed a replacement bolt. I called the company (800 # listed on the front of the assembly instructions - genius!). It was easy to get through to a live person and they were happy to send a replacement part free of charge and it came in a few days (sooner than they told me it would). Also once we put it up we found a few untied knots in the net that we couldn't retie. I called CS again and same story - happy tos send a replacement net at no charge. Lastly the product was reasonably priced and very good quality.

Hi I just bought this system and tomorrow I want to assemble it but the directions are pretty intense and I was wondering did lifetime ever get around to updating a video for customers to help put the LIFETIME ADJUSTABLE PORTABLE BASKETBALL HOOP (50-INCH POLYCARBONATE) Model: 71566 together becouse the instructions are not that good and confusing. But the hoop set up looks amazing and I just want to put it together for my kids without missing a step or using the wrong screws or something and have to take it all apart again. This Lifetime basketball hoop is just awful. About one hour into the assembly of the first hoop I bought, a part broke. I returned the entire hoop to the store and picked up a second hoop. Two hours into the assembly of that hoop, I found that a part was missing. Headed back to the store for the third time in three days to see if I can open a box and get the one part I’m missing. Please consider another brand when looking for a basketball hoop.

Had a previous Lifetime 44" plastic board years ago that cracked and replaced it with this one given my boys are 6 years older and the original board cracked. Walmart delivered the 100 lb box to my driveway in less than a week so was very satisfied with the free shipping option. I've put this one up in about 2-3 hours and so far it plays better than expected with a better rebound off the board. The installation wasn't too bad just takes some patience especially connecting pole to base to align the axle properly and the bolt to connect the base crossbars was somewhat challenging to line up with the allen wrenches. All in all it looks and plays good so would recommend this over competitors like Spalding...

We are loving this new basketball hoop! Especially since my son is now back outside using it constantly! We lost our old hoop a few months back and he's been in the house entirely too much as a result. It definitely took my husband a long time to set up at least 6 hrs and he definitely used lots of tools. I love that it has an XL base! We filled it with sand so it is EXTREMELY HEAVY and takes at least two people to move. The good thing is that it is safe and won't fall over either. The hoop is very nice and the kids are having lots of fun using it! Great product!

Actually, I bought this for my grandson who is not quite 3 yrs old so he needs to do some growing before he can actually play with it. But I know kids all you gotta' do is feed and water them and they grow like weeds. I assembled this system with no help but I'm an engineer and used to doing difficult mechanical projects alone. I believe this will be fun for him and his friends for a long time to come. Thanks Walmart!

After spending hours assembling this system and running to the hardware store since the package had missing hardware not the height adjustment will not adjust. Took it apart and reassembled but still no avail. Called multiple times on the phone but no one picks up, is this good Customer service?

Very pleased with the overall product. I had tried to order a different goal but due to backorder, my order was cancelled, so I was online shopping again. This product was bigger than my original choice and due to rollback pricing was the same price. My husband and I put this together on a Sunday afternoon. We only had two missteps in the directions, and that was due to not looking fully at the picture shown. Loved how the nuts, bolts, etc. were separately packaged for each step of the process. If you follow the step by step directions you should have no problem putting this together. Did not keep up with how long it took to put together.

So far I am just reviewing their customer service. I received the hoop yesterday and the very first step I goofed. NOTE: when it tells you to line up the slot with the screw hole, THERE ARE 2 SCREW HOLES AT THE BOTTOM, make sure you line up with the correct one. After I incorrectly put the poles together and realize this would make the hoop point in the wrong direction, I tried for an hour to get the poles apart using the drop method that they recommend. No luck. I called customer support this morning and they shipped me two new poles for free. That is one of the best CS experiences I have ever had!
