Great Hoops... for indoors

I work at a school. We purchased 4 of these hoops. We have 2 inside and 2 outside. They all get LOTS of use. The ones inside have held up wonderfully. Unfortunately, filling the bases with water did not provide enough support to keep the hoops on the ground with the heavy winds we get in the Colorado foothills. The wind has blown them over several times destroying the rims. We are getting new rims and filling the bases with sand. Hopefully, that will help.

Great hoop

Quality is great. The one hand adjustability was easy to use by my 10 and 8yr old. Took me about 4hrs with some breaks by myself, but would definitely be easier with 2 people. Instructions were good, just pay attention to the similiar looking bolts, they have different lengths. Also you can use the interactive instructions by BILT, that was useful too.

Nice quality for the price.

For the assembly, I was only missing a bolt which I was able to replace with spare bolts I had available at home. I messed up the assembly of the top 2 poles but was able to disassemble them by dropping the assembled pole on 4x4s from waist high. Other than that, the instructions were clear and the assembly went smoothly.

Great Value!

Bought this ffor when grandkids visit and happy I did. The goal is very easy to adjust up and down so all sizes of kids can enjoy playing! The box came with incorrect part but I called customer service and Ryan sent the correct part that day-great service and concern for customer satisfaction! Recommend Highly!

Awful Product

This Lifetime basketball hoop is just awful. About one hour into the assembly of the first hoop I bought, a part broke. I returned the entire hoop to the store and picked up a second hoop. Two hours into the assembly of that hoop, I found that a part was missing. Headed back to the store for the third time in three days to see if I can open a box and get the one part I’m missing. Please consider another brand when looking for a basketball hoop.

A solid hoop

I want this to be a 4.5 stars. The assembly does take awhile because there are so many pieces but it isn’t hard to assemble. The hoop base is good for the amount of gallons it holds but the supports are a little cheap. I wish the backboard supports went wider like an older lifetime hoop I had. For about $230 it’s a great hoop. I am 24 and like to play basketball outside a couple days a week and it holds up great. If you want a hoop with no shake and a more professional feel I would get a better lifetime hoop.

Good

It's a good Basketball goal but, I expected more for what it cost. It adjust very easily which is great for my small children. It's not very stable even with the XL base there is still a lot of shaking. As long as I use it for the small kids it will be fine but, I'll have to look at something else for the adults.

Was soooo excited

Bought this in September but due to life, we just put it together after sitting in our garage in the box. Loved hearing the sound of the basketball hitting the pavement in our driveway but after less than 24hrs of "lite" use from myself and our 10yr old, the hoop will not stay up. It's like the adjustment piece came loose and won't catch, my husband tried tightening it and it will not stay up. So bummed, this was our son's birthday gift and not a cheap purchase for it to last for such a short amount of time :(

Very Satisfied

It took about 3-4 hours to put together. It definitely takes two adults, at least for parts of it (my wife helped me with the heavier parts). The directions were excellent. The parts were packaged and labeled to match each section of the instructions, which was a big help. Have had the goal put together for about 2 weeks and the grandkids have been playing on it over the Christmas holidays and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I was impressed with how easy it is to adjust the height, which is helpful when there are kids of different sizes using it. The unit is very stable. It is on rollers and can be moved on a hard surface such as concrete but not on grass. Overall very satisfied with it and would highly recommend it.

Very sturdy. Easy to adjust height. Great fun

Just put it up and played a game on it. First impressions are this is an amazingly good buy. A solid, obviously well built and seemly durable piece of equipment. Assembly is lengthy but instructions are very well done & walk step by step. Bags of parts are labeled for each section of the assembly process. Go slow. Pay very close attention Hard parts: 1) Getting axle thru base. After a couple of tries where it was not even close, I sliced the holes another 1/4" larger. That did it. Tip: If assembling alone, use a clamp with a jig as your second pair of hand push the axle into the second hole while banging it in. 2) If on grass do NOT fill base until its positioned. Wow this was a mistake! The wheels roll great on hard surface but sink into the ground and then there is no moving it. It was hard to get it up on plywood and walking it in plank by plank took a long time The 'base gel' sold elsewhere seems to work really well. I did not want to use sand. The base is extremely heavy and the goal is held solidly Can you assemble alone? Yes. But its not easy. Now that its up? Its fantastic. Solid. No more shake or wobble that you get at a public park's goal. The hoop is sturdy. The backboard is large and you can tell it has a steel frame. Very pleased and impressed with this purchase.
