Ok

Not easy to set up. Patience, Patience, Patience. And HELP!!! It came missing the correct model set up instructions and a few pieces. Took the co. almost two weeks to ship replacements. For over $1600, you would think the binoculars would be more than just "regular" plastic. No magnifying glass involved.

Some tips on assembling this

As a fairly advanced DIYer I expected to put this together in no time at all, but I was mistaken - it's a pretty big project and will probably take 10-20 hours depending on your experience level. After building this I have some tips that may help: * Several parts look extremely similar but have slight differences, and it's not obvious which part is which (they're not labeled). The instructions include a Parts Identifier that makes it easier to distinguish each part, but for some reason that section is in the middle of the instructions after section 3. I wish Lifetime would just label the parts with their part numbers, but since they don't you should use the Parts Identifier to make sure you don't get the parts mixed up. * Use the BILT app, which gives 3D versions of each step. There were a few steps in the instructions that were not completely clear to me, but every time this happened the BILT app helped me figure out what to do. * The barrel nuts (part BTS) and their matching bolts are extremely prone to cross-threading. If you start putting these together and notice a lot of resistance, take the bolt out and start over. If you try to force it you can shear off the bolt inside the nut, and then you'll have to wait for spare parts before you can finish putting it together. Fortunately Lifetime customer service is great and shipped out the replacement parts to me at no cost, no questions asked. * There are several sections where you have to use self-drilling screws to make holes in metal. The instructions tell you to just do this with a screwdriver, which I guess is technically possible but it will take forever. I would highly recommend using a center punch and hammer to get this started, then a small drill bit (I used 1/8-inch) to make a pilot hole. Once you do that the self-drilling screws will go in MUCH more easily. * If you think you can do this alone you're mistaken. Several sections can be done alone, but unless you have four arms you absolutely need a helper for some of the other sections. * A ratcheting socket wrench will make your life a lot easier. A deep socket (not regular socket) that's 1/2-inch makes it much easier to attach the steering wheel. * There were a couple of sections where I found a right-angle drill adapter to be very helpful. I'm pretty sure you could get by without one, but it will make things easier. Overall I have no major complaints about this playset, I just wish that all of the parts would be labeled with their part numbers. Delivery was easy, assembly was time-consuming but not overly challenging, and my kids love it.

Best money ever spent!

This is the second play set we have purchased for our 3 girls. The first was a wooden play set and it was literally falling apart after 2 years. We can already tell that the Lifetime Primary play set is MUCH better quality. That, and we can't get our girls off of it!

Worth It

Pros:Attractive Design,Hours of Fun,Weather Resistant,Sturdy,Durable Best Uses:Group Play,Individual Play,Older Children,Small Children,Physical Activity Describe Yourself:Stay At Home Parent,First Time Parent Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. It took a lot of work to get our set built. Twice we had to exchange parts including the main bar for the swings. However, the exchanges were easy since we only live 40 minutes away from the factory, and the customer service was so helpful and accommodating. We just called up and arranged to pick up non defective parts. It was well worth the work, though. We love our set. It is high quality, sturdy and virtually maintenance free.

Durable

I bought this set over 6 years ago. I live in a very dirty windy area and it has held up so well through winter storms and rain, sprinklers, rough kids, dogs, and dirt! It has been so much fun for my kids and so entertaining. Great set! Very well built!

Extremely sturdy!

I bought this set last December for my two young kids ages 5 and 8. We live in a hot humid climate in Houston Texas and this set has lasted almost a full year beautifully. No rusting, no sticky swing handles. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. Very well made. Very sturdy. We have adults and kids on this set regularly.

Great Playset

Just got through putting this together. It is an awesome high quality set. Unfortunate the directions are horribly illustrated and not a single piece is numbered save for the hardware. The instructions issue has been addressed In many other reviews so I knew it going in, but I think they could be THAT bad. They were. Lifetime, you make a high quality product. Please make high quality instructions for your customers and spend the extra dollar a set to put a sticker on each part

Great Quality Product for the Price

We bought the bundle package for our preschool age group at church to include the picnic table, toddler swing. It was just what we thought it would be, great color (earthtone), quality and over all assembly was as expected. Climbing gear was a little scratched up when received.

Quality swing set!

We researched for a long time and finally decided on a Lifetime Swing Set. We initially tried to assemble ourselves but it proved too difficult given the scope of the project, a few mislabeled parts that customer service helped to identify, and our lack of time. But now that it is up, we love it. It is well made, includes plenty of options for play, and has already become a neighborhood favorite. With a 3 yr old, I do have concerns with all the open area surrounding the deck, in particular the climbing wall side, but we put up a few bungees to create a barrier on that side to lessen the open space. All in all, we love it and look forward to years of backyard fun.

Great playset with low maintenance.

My son and his friends love this playset. Setup was done with the help of my wife in one day. The climbing wall and climbing net are great additions to keep kids entertained. The playset has made it through a few Michigan winters with very little rust needing touching up. The swings hold my weight (210 lbs) but I haven't (and wont) test the slide (LOL). We added a few pin wheels to the peak of the roof to discourage birds from landing and it's worked great. Couldn't be happier with the playset as I did not want a wooden one needing re-staining.
