Well made and sturdy. This gate was easy to install, and the four positioning screws allow it to be mounted with varying widths; that is, the lower and upper screws can be adjusted to fit exactly, without having to use hardware. The latch on the gate was a bit difficult at first, and requires some hand strength, but nothing an adult cannot handle, but a child of eight to 12 or so would find the latch difficult. The only problem with this gate is that my two puppies are quite small (adult size will be 10 lbs.), and they were able to walk right through the bars! We were disappointed, but had to return it for this reason only. Anyone with a larger dog will find this gate very useful. One suggestion for the manufacturer is to include a small door in the gate for another pet, such as a cat, to use; other gates have this feature.

We had been using the standard wooden pressure mount type gates and having to step over them to go from room to room. There was a lot of tripping going on. SO glad to be able to walk through the door on this gate. Stays tight against the door frame and is so sturdy the little ones' tugging doesn't budge it. These go together easily and quickly as well.

Well, the gate was not the easiest to install. I guess the gates have gotten better over the years, but this was not user friendly in my opinion to install. It actually takes a few times to get used to opening and closing as well. To open, you must push a button forward and push up at the same time. Closing, you just shut it! Now that it is installed and I know how to use it, I'm glad we have one. It keeps the dogs out of certain areas and the kids in. Love that! My hands can be full, and I can still open and shut the gate with one hand.

I've got a large household, the oldest kids in the house are 13-year-old twins, my middle child is 8, and my youngest is two. My two-year-old is a trouble maker, in the middle of his terrible two's. The second you turn around to do something, he's into something. Some of his favorite things to do are make a hard dash up the stairs or get into the kitchen into the dog's water dish. This makes it difficult for me to work on anything before my fiance is home from work or the older kids are done with school and can help keep an eye on him. Other gates work but are difficult to use, even for me. This gate however was easy to install, can be left open when the youngest is in bed, and best of all, I'm not fighting to open it. It also looks really nice, not like those ugly bulky plastic ones that I can never figure out how to work.

At first, I was unsure of where I would put two of these gates I received as I already had two (albeit mismatched) gates on our stairs. However upon opening the box and reading through the product details, I was pleased to see that it fit our stairs better than those we had already installed. As such, I decided to replace the current gates so that we would have a matching, better fitting set of gates. I was very impressed with the ease of installing the first gate. It actually took longer to get the already installed gate off than it did to install the new gate. Once I moved on to the second gate, my 2.5 year old was helping build the gate. We installed that one quickly as well (as quick as it can be with a toddler helping)! The latch system involves squeezing a trigger and then using your thumb to slide a switch, which is harder than the previous system we had of thumbing a switch and lifting the gate. This may be a problem for some (like our toddler's grandmother), but this is a good thing for us, since our toddler is quite adept at figuring out things and was close to cracking the previous gate's mechanism. I highly recommend these gates!

We have three kids ranging from 10 to 2 years old and have had many baby gates throughout the years. This gate is definitely one of our favorites. It's easy to install and extremely sturdy. The material is super easy to wipe down which is great for sticky fingers and aesthetically pleasing. The *only* con is that it is difficult to unlock which is good so the little ones can't open and close but even a pain in the butt for the adults.

These gates do the trick! They hold well despite my toddler fiddling with the mechanism as he sees us do it. It's been useful to be able to set the gate to open either way or just one way. My husband did the install and it wasn't too difficult. Definitely recommend this product for your two most frequently-used doorways!

I love this gate, it's great to use from crawling stage to toddlers. It was extremely using to install and looks great in my home (as far as gates go). It also works well for small pets to be blocked off from an area. Installation took less than 5 minutes and the gate can easily be removed from one location to another.

I purchased this gate after I had a little one that became mobile, and I wanted to keep her out of various rooms. Sadly, it ended up snapping at the wall joint after the little one spooked the dog, who crashed headfirst into it. I'd have given them a five, but the fact I cannot, for the life of me find a spare part, is highly distressing and I took 2 stars off as it seems like I have to buy an entirely new gate to get the part I need.

We recurrence this gate as a free sample from BzzAgent. It is a sturdy little gate. We set it up to keep our 2 and 4 year olds in the post room while my wife home schools the two older girls. It was a bit confusing trying to set it up because it felt like the tensioners should have snapped into the gate but the don't. That makes sense now that I have it up because they hold themselves in place against the wall. That gate works well for keeping the boys in. The older girls have no problem operating it. I also like that the gate has tabs that you can flip down to make the gate open only one way. The one issue that I really have with our is that the wall or is on its not perfectly square, so it has to be adjusted every so often.
