I love this gate! I actually used it to replace another gate that my toddler figured out how to crawl over! This one is taller so she can't get over it! I also like how there is a color indicator so you can easily tell if the door is completely shut. This gate was very easy to install.

I received a two pack of these gates for review. They work well especially for renters or anyone who doesn't want to screw into the wall for mounting. We have one in a hallway that leads to a bathroom to keep the youngest one out while leaving the door open for air circulation. They pressure mounts work very well and the gate is sturdy. The swing is easy and smooth. My only complaint is the locking mechanism. It's a little tricky to open at times, especially for my older two kids who need to open the gate for the bathrooms. Also be very careful to check measurements. I cannot use the 2nd gate we received because it is one inch too big for all of our doorways. It was also an inch too short for our hallway opening so my husband put a 2x4 on the wall. To close the opening.

I have been in search of a safe and nice looking gate for my newly renovated house. The easy install walk throu gate was what I needed to keep my toddler off the stairs. It was easy to install and is very secure. My husband and I find it seamlessly opens for us, but is very difficult for the kids to open it. One thing I wish I had the option to do was a no drill kit that hugged my banister. I really did not want to have to drill through the banister, but I really did not find any other option that was secure enough.

I love these gates! We have a 4 level-split home and are need of a lot of gates. We have tried all different brands, but these are awesome. They were a synch to install and the green pressure indicator helps ensure that we have the proper tension and the gate is installed correctly. I Also really like that the gate can swing in either direction and has easy to use drop down gate blockers if I choose only have it swing in one direction.

For the price I thought this would be better. I actually prefer the regalo gate - it also swings in both directions and and is easier to open and close. I bought both and wish I had had bought 2 of the regalo instead. That said. There is nothing wrong with the safety first gate. Just for the price you are not getting anything better.

The Easy Install Walk-Thru Gate 2 pack is a great quick and simple gate to setup for people who want a no nonsense, simple setup with no extra frills. The lower adjustable limiters are great for directional control, especially if you want to use it in areas like stairs where you want to make sure they don't fall past. The dual locking mechanism with visual red/green indicator is perfect to let you see if the gate is tight and locked properly. The finger/thumb locking mechanism is just stiff and complicated enough to keep the younger ones from opening the gate. It doesn't include some of the more complicated extras like the foot mechanism or self-closing, but this will get the job done.

We love these gates for our house. They were super easy to install and they stay put even with a toddler pulling on them. They are easy for the parents to open and close. My toddler has figured out how to close them by just pulling the gate closed hard. But, cannot get it open again. So that's a good thing! Overall, these gates work extremely well for my family and last a long while.

The get latch is almost impossible to open on 2 of the three gates we purchased. Safety 1st is giving us the run around with the warrantee. DO NOT PURCHASE! The gates were useful for less than a month. Been fighting with the manufacture for 6 weeks now and of course have had to purchase different gates because the 14 month old needs to be kept off the stairs.

We have three kids ranging from 10 to 2 years old and have had many baby gates throughout the years. This gate is definitely one of our favorites. It's easy to install and extremely sturdy. The material is super easy to wipe down which is great for sticky fingers and aesthetically pleasing. The *only* con is that it is difficult to unlock which is good so the little ones can't open and close but even a pain in the butt for the adults.

The extenders made it too wide to fit in the door space, and without them the screws were hardly long enough that any pressure at all would pull it right off the wall. With some extra tools I was able to get it sturdy enough, but it wouldn't be safe at all using only what came with it. I think a simpler design would be far more effective. Gave it 2 stars because I got it to be mostly functional.
