I purchased this kayak at the end of the summer for my daughter for Xmas. She turned 5 and thought it would be a great item to add to our beach house! She loved it.. I just ordered a second kayak for my 3 year old! They love paddling around even if it's only in knee high waters. Better to buy something they enjoy then junk!!! Definitely recommend

These kayaks are perfect for kids and smaller adults. They definitely won't support a larger adult FYI but the kids love them. They're light enough that I can grab one out of the water and carry it up to the car with one hand while holding the baby on my other hip. Easy to load. Great value.

We bought two of these kayaks and took them to the lake on "beach days." From the moment they are in the water until we told the grandchildren that was time to go and we "really mean it," the kayaks were in use. Two worked great so they could paddle with a buddy. The kayaks are loved by every age (up to the weight limit). The grandchildren feel independent and in control of their own fun and as we watch from shore, we know they are using a well designed kayak. We tried to tell them that the yellow one was the fastest, but none of them believed us.

We bought 2 of these for our grandkids, 6 & 7. The size and flotation are perfect for their smaller forms. Both kids mastered paddling and steering in a short time and we were quickly off exploring the coastline. They even shared with other kids at the beach who had great fun with them too. Our experience shows that putting an adult on board with a kid is pushing the limits (130# limit according to the specs). We expect to get at least a 1/2 dozen years worth of paddling fun out of these. Also looking forward to kayak sledding this winter here in the North country!

We got this for our granddaughter who is 7yrs and she just loves her pink kayak. It's easy for her to paddle and glide across the lake. It doesn't come with a seat so we bought a thin padded seat in the outdoor dept. I have used it too and I'm 5'2 and 110 lbs. We love it!

When my granddaughter picked this kayak out, we did not know that the blue one didn't have the arm rest as the yellow one did. We thought it should since all the kayaks were exactly the same and exactly the same price. My granddaughter and myself feel we should receive a backrest at no cost. Please reply and make my granddaughter happy. Thank you in advance.

Got my son (55 lb., 10 years old) one of these for Christmas. He has used it several times on flat water with no issues and he loved it. Finally got up the nerve to put him on the river in it. Did a 5 mile float for Fathers Day with no issues at all. River has a few descent Class II rapids. Yak was very easy for him to control and never flipped it. This is a great addition for any family wanting to get the kids on the water in a kayak.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a pink and a green youth kayak to spend more time outside with the kids. One concern lose their safety. The children have been extremely safe on these kayaks they have not once flipped on them and when they get off they're able to get back on them very easily. The kids also are able to mover the kayak with ease. The big colors put parents minds at ease with keeping an eye on them.

He sat, kneeled, and even stood on it. We learned on his own how to get on and off in deep water. This is a wonderful board!! Very sturdy but easy to carry--he's 10 and did it all by himself. As a mom, this kayak is a homerun! The only problem is it left me wanting my own. Thanks lifetime!
