We use these in the pool as well as the lake. The kids love to play "King of the Kayak". One person is king and the others try to get the king off and then scramble up to be the new king. My son also likes to just lay on it while it floats in the pool and he listens to his tunes.

We bought our boys each a wave a couple years ago because they decided that they wanted to spend their summers in the water instead of on the field. We LOVE them!!! They have held up so well with over 100 uses and almost 20 kids using them. They still look brand new!! Way to build such high quality products.

This is well designed for kids! My 7&8 year old girls got on these and were able to handle them instantly. We've been out on a calm river for hours at a time. They LOVE them! They are really sturdy and pretty well made for the price. For an entry level, kid-size kayak, they are a good value. Walmart's price is better than most sellers. The kayak arrived within 3 days and was in perfect condition. The same can not be said for other sellers: Only a few companies carry these, and even though they are made in red, blue, green, yellow, orange and pink, each vendor seems to only carry two colors. My kids wanted pink and blue, and I wanted green (I"m a petite adult and this size works for me too!). Walmart only carries green and orange. So I ordered the pink and blue versions from the other well known toy-seller with the backwards R in their name. That order was processed much more slowly, one of the two kayaks arrived damaged, and getting it replaced or returned for a credit has been extremely difficult--laden with shipping problems and delays. I highly recommend buying these from Walmart instead of TxxRxS. In fact, I've given up on getting the replacement blue kayak and am now working on getting a full refund. If I ever get my credit from them for the broken blue one, I will turn right around and order the orange kayak from Walmart! Now just to convince the kids that Pink, Green, and Orange is better than Pink, Green, and Broken Blue! Anyway, this is a great product and Walmart is good at customer service, online order fulfillment, and product delivery. Happy Kayaking!

My kids have enjoyed these so much! I bought 2 and have been so happy about this purchase. Our pool isn't quite warm enough to commit to constant swimming yet, so these have been the perfect pool activity until things warm up a bit more. The weight suggestion is on point. I weigh 133 and it barely rides above the water with me in it, so definitely made for the kiddos. They also love to stand on it and use it like a paddleboard. We would absolutely recommend this purchase.

I got one of these for my son's 9th birthday. I needed it quickly, so I did not have time to wait for shipping. The first store I went to was sold out, but I was able to find this Blue one at the second store I visited for $88. The higher online price is probably to cover shipping expenses. This kayak is light enough that my 9-year old can pull it down to the pond and back up to the garage when he is done. It also scoots along the water with ease! I have an aluminum flat-bottom boat with a similar looking paddle to maneuver with, and there is no way I can catch him in my boat. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought two of these in 2011 and have used them at least 4 dozen times. They have held up well, even stores in high heat. They are super easy to maneuver, our 4 year old could easily handle the boat. Great item to have around with kids!

Purchased for my 11 yr old son and he loves it . Very stable and easy to enter and exit. So stable and tracks well enough my 5 yr old daughter used it with no problems as well. Probably going to get my son a larger one and let my daughter use it for many more years.

I purchased this kayak at the end of the summer for my daughter for Xmas. She turned 5 and thought it would be a great item to add to our beach house! She loved it.. I just ordered a second kayak for my 3 year old! They love paddling around even if it's only in knee high waters. Better to buy something they enjoy then junk!!! Definitely recommend

I have 2 of these kayaks. The kids enjoy them so much. They’re light enough for us to haul without dad along. At about 5ish they’ve started on them and get the concept down. It’s been so fun to watch them learn and get better. I don’t have any complaints!

We have had two youth kayaks for several years and are very happy with them. I have had to contact Lifetime twice, once to order an accessory for each and recently to order replacement plugs which had mysteriously disappeared. In both cases, the experience was wonderful! Inquiries are dealt with in a timely manner, and both of our needs have been met satisfactorily. I am impressed! Keep up the good work, Lifetime!
