We bought 2 of these for our grandkids, 6 & 7. The size and flotation are perfect for their smaller forms. Both kids mastered paddling and steering in a short time and we were quickly off exploring the coastline. They even shared with other kids at the beach who had great fun with them too. Our experience shows that putting an adult on board with a kid is pushing the limits (130# limit according to the specs). We expect to get at least a 1/2 dozen years worth of paddling fun out of these. Also looking forward to kayak sledding this winter here in the North country!

We bought this for our granddaughter's 9th birthday and she loved it. It is very stable in the water allowing her to get on without any tipping. She was able to paddle all around with no problem. The only improvement would be if it came with a backrest pad.

I bought three of the 6’ youth kayaks in different colors for my grandchildren. I thought all the colors looked very nice, but green was my favorite. I guess that’s why it was the most expensive. Yhey’re actually good quality and the kids have been enjoying them. The 9 and 10 year olds were able to stand up and paddle them (with an occasional tumble).

We have had two youth kayaks for several years and are very happy with them. I have had to contact Lifetime twice, once to order an accessory for each and recently to order replacement plugs which had mysteriously disappeared. In both cases, the experience was wonderful! Inquiries are dealt with in a timely manner, and both of our needs have been met satisfactorily. I am impressed! Keep up the good work, Lifetime!

We purchased one three or four years ago for our first grandson to use at our home on a lake. 7 grandkids later it works as good as new, with no maintenance to speak of. The only thing that we have had to do to it is replace the drain stopper after the kids took it out to see if they could sink the kayak. the kayak still floated enough to get it to shore, but they managed to lose the plug. The oldest whittled a stick to fit in its place. That was two seasons ago and it still works fine.

My boys ages 10 and 13 got these recently. They love them. These are great for kids that want to get started in kayaking. Can't beat the price too. The only issue I have is with the yellow kayak my older son has and that is... It needs a handle on the front. My younger son has the green one which comes with the handle which is great for him to pull it to the water. Other than that these are awesome!!!

We absolutely love our kid-size kayaks! They are perfect at lake Powell, Bear Lake, and anyplace else you take your kiddos. They are easy to paddle and maneuver. Our grandkids just love them. Our 8 year old granddaughter paddled hers all the way out and back to Lone Rock at Lake Powell all by herself ! Great Product!

I wanted a kid's kayak with a paddle for my 5 and 7y old kids, and this product meets those requirements. I got my 2 kids into a kayak to make their first experience, and it has served us well so far. The kayak is not too heavy, which is good because carrying them is a bit uncomfortable. There is a spot on the side with slight finger indentations where you can grip it, but effectively you have to hold it tight to your body and walk fast... There is just one handle on the very front that is attached to the kayak; I wish they had a second one on the rear so that 2 people could carry it comfortably. My shipping experience was not that great, which may or may not be Walmart's fault so I'm not deducting points for that; delivery was delayed by a few days (I got timely notifications, though), but what annoyed me the most is that the Fedex estimated arrival date was updated to be 1 day later close to the delivery date, throwing our plans again. Luckily the Fedex truck came very early in the morning so we didn't have to wait at home the whole day. Overall, it's a great value for your money.

I bought this for my 2 kids (ages 6 and 9). They love it. It's fairly stable and they have no problems paddling it around. There are two drain holes in the middle front that if you weighed too much might let enough water in to wet shorts. Overall I think it was a steal at the sale price I paid ($99)
