The process of shopping was a little nuts, but the kayak arrived safe and sound. No Box, just a heavy plastic bag. It is made well, and stable. The paddle is two-part and fits together, it's adjustable. This is the EXACT same kayak sold at other sporting good stores for $149.00. Can't beat Walmart's $109!! Remember to get the life jacket and the whistle too!

My kids love these kayaks. One of my older sons will take the 2 year old with them on the kayak and she loves it too. Great for flat water fun on the lake. They do not tip easily and have a little handle up front that the kids can use to drag the kayak back up the beach without trouble. Highly recommend.

Great kayak for my small 6 year old. My average 12 year old tried it out too and had fun in it. I fit it in the back of my Impreza hatchback with the back seats down to get it home. One negative is when I first looked at this there was a wide range of prices by color. I waited it out til we really needed it (2 months) and the prices evened out, so we got the blue like we really wanted.

This has been a great addition to our family lake adventures! Its the perfect size for kids...small yet sturdy in the water and easy for them to maneuver. The paddles that are included in the package are of higher quality than some of our adult paddles. Very impressive!

It is not 6 feet long and the seating area can't keep you out of the water from the drainage holes even if you are 10 years old and only weigh 80 pounds, which is far below the 130 pound limit. However if you do not use it as a kayak, but instead as a portable raft it is light weight and short enough to fit in the back seat instead of needing roof racks.

Picked up a couple of these for my 7 & 5 year old ( both tall for their age). They jumped on and took off like they knew what they were doing. My 7 year old is about 80lbs, 4'5" and there is still plenty of "room to grow" for him on this boat. They are about 2' wide x 6' long and weigh about 20lbs. Very easy to handle and transport. They come with a foam seatback that isn't really needed, except by perhaps someone much taller. We didn't use it the first time out, and I put them on the second time and the kids barely utilized them at all. I found these boats to be very stable, kids had no tipping issues when sitting sideways and dangling their feet in the water. We've only had them on the water twice, but so far I am very pleased with these.

We bought this for my son's 8th birthday. It was all he wanted this year. He took it out on the lake once and one of the main back plugs fell out causing the kayak to fill up with water rendering it pretty useless for the day. The one "Lifetime" sticker on the kayak is about to fall off. I called and spoke with a customer service agent and although he was super nice and very apologetic he was also shocked that the company had stickers on the kayaks and not metal signs like they had in the past. If I had to guess, all of the these 5 stars reviews got the older models and not what my poor kiddo has. I would say "you get what you pay for" but it was pretty expensive. They are going to ship an extra plug to our house, but they are back ordered and apparently they don't have extra signs or stickers to give us. My son is pretty disappointed.

we bought this for our 5 year old daughter. she has been out 2x so far and it works great. she is able to get in it and paddle by herself. there were not drip guards on the paddle so she got a little wet the first time but those were cheap to buy and add to the paddle.

I am a 5'7" 50-something woman and I love this kayak! I was looking for a light weight kayak as my old one was getting too heavy for me to carry. This is very easy to carry and also fits into the back of my crossover (with the hatch closed). I use it on the local rivers. It seems very well-built and is sturdy. The paddle is great. I've had mine for 2 years and have had no issue. You do get your seat wet due to the scupper holes. You can have a half inch of water inside. I bought some plugs. I weigh 130lbs. My husband tried it and did not sink - he weighs 200.

We just recently moved from NY to FL. My husband and I are avid Kayakers. Our daughter often goes with us and paddle boards as well. She is 6 - with the move to a warmer climate it offers the opportunity to be in that water more often. My daughter actually saw a similar product but they could not get it to us by Christmas. The Kayak came ( with no extra shipping costs) earlier than stated. The design and quality was far surpassed what I expected she will actually be able to truly kayak in this. When we were action last year in the Blue Ridge Mountains we rented kayaks and My daughter wanted to paddle board. They had a hybrid of a sit on top kayak that was able to be used for SUP. This is exactly what it was. I have searched for that item and was unable to find it. This is it. My husband and I have what would be high end kayaks, the design and materials that this unit is made of is identical. It is a one piece body and hull which is key to a good kayak. The paddle include - I assumed we would have to purchase a better one - I WAS WRONG the paddle is well made and the diameter of the Paddle is smaller to fit into a smaller hand. The price is far below what the value of this product is. The sit on top design has goober notch placement for her feet. There is a the ability to add a comfortable seat, and the open back design is ideal of children to get in ad out of. The First this she did when she discovered it under the tree Christmas morning was point out that she kayak SUP and she was right there is the perfect area that provides balance for her feet. We have a large neighborhood lake that the houses are built around eager to get in she got her life jacket and took to it. starting seated then went onto her knees and well - lets just say she does not want a seat. This is the exact same product we rented on vacation just in her size. AND PINK OF COURSE. Lastly being that we are in an area where there are endless places to kayak and kids can tucker out there is a told toggle at the front that will be ideal for towing her through waters she might not be able to animate or when she just wants to chill. Today might be our first day out. I would highly recommend this product Im certain I will be buying another ( my 4 year old son will be ready to go soon and well he can't do pink I Truly did not anticipate this level of quality at this price point. I would also recommend marketing the product as a hybrid of a SUP and sit on top Kayak because hat is what it is. I don't know if your company makes seats for the kayaks as well but I found seats that are the same maker as our high end kayaks that would seamlessly fit into here providing the ability to enjoy a day out on the water. OH DID I MENTION THE GUARANTEE ? A lifetime guarantee. I know sound too good to be true. I imagine that if this product got in the hands of product placement and was read about and discovered by more outdoors people like us the would be SO HOT. Get it now before it takes off and the price doubles. You would pay that much to rent a kayak for the day In most places. Best purchase of the Holiday and it will be of great use. If You are looking to introduce your child into kayaking this is the way to go. It is really pretty too.
