We bought this for our granddaughter's 9th birthday and she loved it. It is very stable in the water allowing her to get on without any tipping. She was able to paddle all around with no problem. The only improvement would be if it came with a backrest pad.

We have 3 boys (5, 7, and 12) and we are often looking for fun inexpensive ways to spend our weekends. These are the perfect solution. We got one for each. The 5 year old picked on it up quickly, but tired easily. No problem. He jumped on dad's kayak and dad towed the empty kayak behind his. Our 7 year old loved it and managed to hold up for at least an hour or two. Our oldest had a blast and since he is only about 85lbs, he still has at least another year or two left on this. They stack easily and fit comfortably in the back of my Tahoe with the seat down. As far as getting them to the water, our 12 year old carried two of them down, so they are really manageable. We went don to the harbor, but I can't wait to take them to the lake, too. They seem like they'll really hold up until the kids outgrow them. Beyond that, this price beat out every other online retailer by $40-$50. If I could rate these higher than 5 stars, I would. Watching my boys on the water laughing and enjoying life? Priceless.

Received the yellow and green kayaks for our 6 year old twins. They love them so much! I love that the kayaks are really meant to sit on the water, but still very stable. the paddles are great, we love the adjusting foot holds and overall very satisfied with this purchase! I can see the kids spending many many years using these kayaks!

I ordered two of these children kayaks. Both arrived in the store at the same time but when I went to pick them up; only one came with all the advertised parts. One was missing the backrest pad which is the reason that I ordered this specific kayak to begin with. So, I walked away with only one kayak. When I order a product, my expectation is that it will arrive with all of its parts and be in good working order. That was definitely not the case for this order.

This kayak is very functional for use on flat water. My grandchildren all got right on it and were able to paddle around the lake with no problems. It is stable and floats high in the water. It is small enough to throw into the back of the truck and light enough that it is easy to carry. A great starter kayak for children.

My parents bought these for their house in Southern Utah. I took my kids down in August and the loved them. We spent an entire day at Quail Creek kayaking around! They are the perfect size for kids and small adults. They also fit in the back of my car which was nice! I highly recommend buying one if you live near water.

We purchased a couple youth kayaks and my kids were so nervous to use them, now we can't get them to share. They love taking them out on the lake and love the fact that they can do paddle alone. It's been a great way to get them off the couch and wanting to explore outside.

This kayak is worth every penny. I bought this before my Husband went for deployment in Afghanistan I thought this would be a great activity for my kids and also to take away their minds from missing their daddy. A great distraction because my kids got something to look forward during weekends and when their off track from school. My kids are so happy so am I. I'm surprised how much weight this little kayak can hold because when my husband came back he get to use it too lol. His not skinny his over 170 pounds although we plan to buy him his own one day when I save up enough money. We love this kayak and I highly recommend this for the family. The kids easily figure how to use it by themselves. This is something my family love to do during summer the we truly enjoy.

I bought two last year, and my girls had so much fun, unfortunatelly they are so easy to carry that they were stolen from my 34 footer in Oxnard, CA, now i'm just waiting for the prices to go down to last year prices to get them again, but this time i'll lock them up.

My 8 year old daughter and 9 year old son love these! The kids use them on a very large lake on clam days and they are so stable the kids can stand on them and use them like "paddle boards". Seat back that comes with yellow is pretty flimsy and will probably only last one season, but its better than nothing.
