Love My Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is great. I love the choices of quick times for various items. I likthat there is no handle sticking out. It is very sleek. There is just one thing on the number panel, I wish it would illuminate, because you always need a bright light on to see the panel.

Lots of options

We've been using this for about a month now--it's spacious inside and has loads of options for choosing how to cook our food--either directly choosing thecooking time or using one of the many auto-selections that are programmed in. It is powerful and faster than our previous microwave. Just one note--the door is larger than expected so watch your head. It is a very good machine.

Cooks Wonderfully, but...

The power on this is wonderful, cooks evenly. drawback is that the guide for time/food cooking is not backlit or clearly discernable. Turn on room lights and open door, remember the setting and then close door and look for buttons to push per direction on inside of closed door. Not a lot of thought went into practical operation.

Customer service and microwave

The halogen light bulb underneath this unit gets hot. I’ve tryed email ,calling, and the chat online to get a led bulb and nobody can help when there website says it can be replaced. Do like the unit itself just don’t enjoy burning my hands when the lights on for 2 minutes and I accidently bump it.

Display is lagging or broken

After a year, the display is lagging so bad, when you need to use the timer or cook something, the clock just stays on the display. the display wont update at all until you open the door. so if you used the microwave at 1:45pm, the clock wont update until the open the door next and then stuck on that time

Works Fine

I bought this two weeks ago and am still getting use to the functions but so far it does the job. Two slight negatives: The menu items are hard to read in low lighting and becasue it has not as hiabout gh (same width) as my old microwave there is a 2 inch gap above the backsplash that is just drywall. It can only be sen from a distance (unless you are a very short person. I plan to remedy by painting drywall same color as backsplash. Will not be noticeable.

LG Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] prodcut had to get exhcnaged orignally because it came damaged out the box. The replacment came slightly dented as well but did not want to wait another 7 days to get another microwave. Luckily, the exchange was just a small ding on the side. Installers said its because they get thrown in the truck. So far everything works and its doing its job.

Just Installed

I just had this beautiful microwave installed a few hours ago. I left the under microwave light on for about an hour. The amount of heat this non LED bulb puts out is crazy! The glass over the light bulb, the surrounding area as well as the inside of the microwave is super hot! Are we able to change this Hallogen Bulb to an LED? If so, what is the max wattage that can be used?

New and Outstanding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our in place microwave failed after almost 13 years. We got the new microwave several weeks ago. We are just learning all of the new things this will do. This is a higher wattage, larger capacity and better appearance than the old one. I was amazed at the low price we paid for this. This unit greatly outperforms the old one. We are transitioning to all LG products and this (along with the range we also bought because they had to match) completed the full LG kitchen.

Good but needed to be repaired x 2

I bought this microwave almost a year and few months ago. I loved the spacious and easy way to use, but I had to call for service and they had to replace the main computer board and the magnetron twice. At least both times it was under warranty. I still love the microwave, but disappointed that it had to be repaired twice.
