Performs quite well
I bought this microwave a month ago and am generally pleased with this model. There are some improvements that I would suggest. The light under the oven is barely betten than a night light. More light shining down on the cooktop below would be great! The buttons on the glass door are impossible to read in the dark. The kitchen lights must be on to use the microwave.

Doesn’t work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this a few days ago, spent yesterday installing it and today was woken up by grandson telling me it doesn’t work. I tried it and confirmed it doesn’t work. Really! So much for the most reliable appliance. I have an LG dishwasher, stove and refrigerator being delivered on Tuesday. Let’s hope I don’t have the same experience with those appliances. Very disappointed.

Awesome Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love our new LG microwave! It works amazingly. We've had LG washer & dryer for years and are gradually replacing everything to LG. Newest addition is a dishwasher and OMG it's so good. Soon a refrigerator and then TV!

Terrible controls
The controls are a dim print on a dark surface and very difficult to see unless the room light is bright. The view window is tiny and narrow, making monitoring food difficult. You cannot see items like a sandwich unless you are tall, and the interior LED is not bright enough to offset the tiny, dark glass window. The narrow lower mounting bracket (light gauge) bent while installing, and the AC cord is in a weird position. The top screws were in non-standard places; installation was a hassle. If someone steals it, they'd be doing me a favor. The exhaust fan is perfect, and the bottom lighting is OK. However, with the brightest setting for the bottom light, the interior floor of the oven is noticeably hot from the lamp. This is a model to avoid.

Works Fine
I bought this two weeks ago and am still getting use to the functions but so far it does the job. Two slight negatives: The menu items are hard to read in low lighting and becasue it has not as hiabout gh (same width) as my old microwave there is a 2 inch gap above the backsplash that is just drywall. It can only be sen from a distance (unless you are a very short person. I plan to remedy by painting drywall same color as backsplash. Will not be noticeable.

Unreliable and Poor Build Quality
I bought this microwave less than 2 years ago and it already stopped working. It no longer heats food up. Prior to this microwave, I have had other microwaves that lasted for many years without any issues. It is unreliable and the build quality is poor.

Display is lagging or broken
After a year, the display is lagging so bad, when you need to use the timer or cook something, the clock just stays on the display. the display wont update at all until you open the door. so if you used the microwave at 1:45pm, the clock wont update until the open the door next and then stuck on that time

Great looking with great features. Nice upgrade
A great upgrade to my LG kitchen. This microwave is very good looking . The flush handles work really well. No ugly plastic handle protuberance to distract from the large smooth front of this very attractive microwave oven. It’s powerful. Quiet. Spacious. Easy to program with plenty of options. WiFi connection makes use even more convenient for busy families like ours .

Love the sensor cook technology
Definitely a great buy, love the sleek design and ThinQ app is great features for all LG appliances and I like being able to preset my Microwave nightlight on and off hours so I do not have to manage another item and not waste energy. The list of presets and power modes are easy to use and so far accurate for cooking food times. I even like on the app you can scan food bar code, and it will be able to accurately cook premade foods easier. Overall vent and microwave good quality. We love the 4 speed and boost mode on hood. Easy convertible from recirculating to vented.

DO NOT BUY
Replacement parts either don't exist or are more expensive than entire unit itself. Unit was delivered with a latent defect and despite the fact that I am willing to pay to replace the part that I didn't notice until 6 weeks after purchase, I am in a position where it will be cheaper to buy a whole new unit rather than making a small repair. Ill donate the unit and buy a quality brand that stands behind their product.
