Safer to install yourself.

Sam's used RXO Last Mile, Inc. to deliver and install my above the range microwave. First I was told the white glove installation and haul away did not include removing the old microwave from the wall, just hauling it away. Ok, I uninstalled it myself. They were on time and seemed professional at first. I noticed he had not rotated the vents. I had read the installation manual and watched the video and they both said the LG model I bought comes with the vents set for a roof exhaust. We don't have that but the directions include how to turn the vent for room venting. He assured me it was venting to the room. I stopped him, showed him the installation manual then he finally rotated the vents. After they left I noticed the wall brackets did not make contact with the microwave at all. It was positioned too low and the only thing holding it up was the screws in front. By the way the holes in the cabinet were measured wrong too, there made an extra whole on both sides in the cabinet and even the final holes had the screws going at a weird angle. They didn't bring tape, and I noticed the template did shift. I took the microwave down, they had the bracket too low and never put an extra screw in the stud. All the bracket screws used anchors. So they did almost nothing right and I was better off installing it myself. I had to install it on my own and they put unnecessary holes in the wall and cabinet. If this had fallen it could have hurt someone and destroyed our stove. The microwave looks amazing, definitely an upgrade from the 2003 Kenmore that finally gave out. Before of RXO Last Mile, Inc.

Exceptions to "Free Installation"

When I attempted to order this microwave, I found out that the 'freight' delivery would not deliver to my home address but would deliver to my work address. After taking delivery, I contacted Sam's Club to schedule the installation. I was told that since the delivery and installation addresses were different, they would not be able to schedule the installation, and that I could hire my own installer and would be reimbursed $150 by Sam's Club. The first estimate that I received for the installation was over $300. What do I do now?

Be wary

Look through these reviews. LG microwaves are very prone to stopping heating. Mine just did today and I was unable to get it repaired through service without paying LG for a handyman to evaluate. Unbelievable.

HORRIBLE DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

I'm providing this review to warn fellow consumers of the SLOPPY, UNPROFESSIONAL deilvery and set up of this item. If you order from Sam's Club, the only option is for delivery and you DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY. My order arrived on the day promised, wrought with issues. On the evening before, I received an automated call stating that my delivery was between 7- 9 AM and I should be prepared because I was either stop 1 or 2. Upon calling 11 AM the next day, I was told that they weren't sure what was happening as none of the deliveries had yet been made for that day and I would receive a phone call as soon as someone could investigate. Two men arrived at 1:46 PM (almost five hours outside of the delivery window). They came in like a whirlwind, told me the truck had broken down and they were running late, and then proceeded to tell me it was going to be loud as they would need tools (I was on a conference call and the guys could see that). So I excused myself upstairs to continue the business call after providing them with a step stool since they indicated they could not reach the cabinets to remove the other microwave. After a few minutes, the guys yelled for me to come downstairs, asked me to sign a form and excused themselves. They had set the old microwave in a box on the floor by my table in the breakfast nook. After seeing the men out, I came to the kitchen to place the things they had pulled out of the cabinets back in and tidy up from the debris on the floor. That is when I saw a huge scratch where they had set the old microwave down on my hardwood floors. I ran outside to stop them but they were already gone. When I contacted the company to let them know, I was told (after an investigation) that the men were "certain" they had not caused the damage and there was no proof of it, so I was out of luck. Seriously? Of course they aren't going to fess up to it. If you are brave enough to entertain purchasing this item, I would either stand over them and watch the installation or turn o my Nanny cam to make sure you can prove potential damage from the sloppy, unprofessional delivery drivers. The company will do absolutely nothing to right their wrongs and it will be your word against the sloppy, unprofessional delivery people.

Did not last!

While this is a beautiful appliance and I have enjoyed using it, it didn’t even last 2 years! It no longer heats anything.

amateur installers

** BEWARE ** Samsclub uses amateur installers. The broke my stove when installing this, and messed up my cabinets. The also layed a blanket on my stove and my house almost caught fire. Samsclub wont do antything about it ** BEWARE **
