Slow TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV two months ago and I regret it ever since. It's too much trouble to return! I have the fastest Internet services and still the TV works like a snail!! I just remember I bought a similar slow LG TV five years ago but now with the new tv I am surprised that the same technology never changes! The mouse on the remote is worse than a snail! The only good thing about LG is the vivid color and picture that other brands can not compete!

Picture quality is good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find the menu very annoying, the way one has to move around to select Roku or the DVD player. And I object to the "necessity" to have all data of how and what one watches collected and moved on to who knows who, the should be an option only for someone who really want that!

Good TV with one caveat

Our Panasonic plasma finally died. The budget LGs seemed to rate higher in picture quality than the Samsung counterpart. I will agree that the picture quality on this is outstanding. Integrated audio is also quite acceptable. Where I had to knock off a star is WebOS. The software bogs down very quickly and is very, very slow. My workaround was to continue using my Fire TV Cube.

Avoid this TV, Mediocre at best.

I bought the TV yesterday, just set it up. The Good: - Interface is responsive The Bad: -Viewing angles are horrible, washed out if not right in front of TV. -Worst remote I have ever used. It would be going back but my wife says it's good enough for her craft room, it's only for background noise when crafting. It's also for her game cube and nintendo, where she is right in front of it.

New 65 inch for the Bedroom.

I own a 55 inch a lg OLED eco gallery and I love it, but this tv was less than a third of the price. It is a very good, I am happy with the purchase and the price. If its going to bug you that it is a tiny bit slower in switching apps then you may not like it .

Bedroom TV and PC monitor

This 50" LG 4K TV replaces another manufacturer's 4K set that stopped working after less than 3 years. So far I've been pleased with the performance and quality of video and audio reproduction. It took me a bit of time to acquaint myself with WebOS operating system and the Magic remote control but it wasn't that long before I had all the connections and settings figured out and tweaked. I hope this LG TV will give me many more years of quality service.

We Like

We bought this because are 50" UHD tv didn't have near as good a picture as this 55" LG did at Sams. We got home and set it up. Picture is Great when I turn it on the first. Then as I get it connected to Xfinity, I notice picture is not as good, it seems the broadcast picture is not as sharp. Prime TV very much better. I think I will have the cable guy come out and see if we are getting the best signal. It is not the TV.

Nice TV with an awkward hard to use remote

Bought this TV online on Black Friday 2023. All in all it's been a very good TV. The picture quality is decent and the colors look nice and bright. The biggest downside is the “magic” remote which is awkward, touchy and a bit of a pain to use. If we had gone in the store and actually seen and tried out this remote, we would have probably chosen a different LG model without this “magic” remote or a different brand.

Don't waste your money

Television is fine once you get to where you want to be. The "magic remote" is a nightmare to use. The apps, that I can go to directly when I'm on firestick, require me to log in every time if I try to use it from the LG home. The processing time to change apps is long. I usually just go to firestick as it has most of my apps anyway. I'm actually thinking of giving this thing away and putting my old, smaller tv, back up.

Size is great, Tv isn't

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this TV about a month ago and have had horrible experiences with it. Updates won't apply to system, Apps channels won't load. We are signed out of apps weekly. The system will boot back to the home page for no reason. It takes several minutes for a page to load only to be told there is no internet when we are using the internet. If we hadn't destroyed the box already it would be returned to the store.
