Sucked after 18 hrs of use

Worked for 18 hours. Cools 1 room in a 1000 sq ft house 3 or 4 degrees after 18 hrs of use. Let it sit 24 hrs before using. Don't recommend buying this unit.

Easy install

it isn't as quiet as I thought it would be but it is easy to install. This avoids lifting the heavy air conditioner into the window and then removing it at the end of the season. We love it.

Strong and very cool

Strong portable AC. It kicks out super cold and putting the hose together was easier than I thought it would be. Great for larger spaces as well. Cools down my living room and you can feel the coolness spread to the kitchen in my small condo.

Why is there no directional vent?

The only portable ac I have ever seen without a directional vent. It only blows cool air straight up, so it is absolutely useless until it cools the entire room. Unless you huddle over it.

Only works some - and support isn't helpful

It's an air conditioner. It's supposed to pull moisture out of the air and into a bucket. Well, it did for a week or so, but then stopped. Then, later, it started again. No rhyme or reason.When I called support, they said it only does that if there's humidity. I live in Florida, this was summer....of course there's humidity. One year in, it barely does anything. It's junk after 1 year?

Works great but doesn't last

I bought an older version of the DeLonghi Pinguino several years ago and it lasted 2 years. I bought this model last year in May and it only lasted until August. These are large, very heavy units with compressors in them. Now I need a new one for this summer and I have to figure out how to dispose of the old ones. Pretty sure I'll have to pay for disposal. I'm going to try a different brand to see if I can get more than a few months' use out of it. My window won't support a window unit so I'm stuck with this bulky "portable" type model, unfortunately.

would not recommend.

I bought this last year and it struggled through the season. Trying to cool a 256sqft room and it takes hours to make it comfortable. If the unit is not left on from when the room is 68 degrees in the morning, there is not a chance it will catch up. For days when the temp is 75-80 and low humidity it is OK but if it is 80-90 and muggy forget it!
