Great Buy! We are so happy we decided to get this unit when our apartment unit couldn't keep up with this triple digit Arizona heat! This was very simple to install / set up. My 10 yr old and 6 yr old kids basically did it themselves with my supervision. We are all very happy and keeping cool this summer!

Bought this for a sunroom that gets extremely hot. I can turn it on and within 10 min the room is comfortable. Easy to install. Just raise the window and insert the slider bracket that comes included. Then lower the window to secure the bracket. I did not have to take the window screen out since the hose does not protrude past the window. So simple to remove as well.

Have only had it a few days but here is what we can say so far. After bringing the unit home we noticed how much smarter the packaging was than any until we have purchased in the past. Setup was a breeze and once again, was much better than previous portables we bought in the past. It actually fit our windows almost out of the box. We did have to cut one part, which the directions did specify that we might want to do, so there was no surprise. We did not have to but it was very easy (did it with a dremel), but again, was not necessary. Turned the unit on and it was much quieter than previous units and it got cold quickly. We have a small home (2 bedroom) since we are beyond the age of children and this until cools almost our entire house. Adding a simple box fan, it makes the whole house very comfortable. We are pushing it's limits with the size of the home but so far it is doing the job as we had hoped for. Can't speak to it's reliability as it has only been running for about 1 week but so far so good !

10/10 rating no problems. Dont let others fool you saying its loud. Place it on low after cooling room and you can easily fall asleep to it. Keeps room ANY temperature you place it at.

So far, I am positively impressed with this. It was not too difficult to set up. The strength is what I expected. The timer is a nice convenience. I’ve had it for a week. So far, I would say ‘very good’ and a good value for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently built on to our house, making it bigger than our current central ac can cool. It's also a 130 year old home that isn't insulated the best. It gets very very hot here in south Louisiana. Every afternoon it is almost 90 inside my house even though our thermostat is on 65. I added this portable Ac unit and we are finally cool! I was able to put both units on 72 and it's 72 in my house! Both units are shutting off instead of running all day and my electric bill being sky high. It says it cools 500sq ft but it feels like a much bigger area that it cools. It was very easy to install, it took only minutes. It is made very well and easy to roll from place to place if needed. I'm very happy with the unit and so is all of my family. We aren't miserably hot all the time.

I am more than pleased with this purchase. This is a workhorse portable AC unit and really does the job in an area larger than the advertised 500 sq ft. I own other Delonghi products that have lasted many years and I'm hoping this one will as well. My only disappointment with this unit is that the air flow direction is not adjustable. Also I do wish there was a better way to drain the de-humidifier unit as the tube provided easy to lose. (or maybe they could have a compartment to keep the tube in). I really don't used the de-humidifier though. Lastly, I'm not nuts about the typeface of the model stamped on the front, but that's no big deal.

Haven't used it too many times since we got it, weather hasn't required, but the 3 times we have used it, it does not cool the square footage it says it will. Called the company, they told me to let it run on the lowest setting. Not sure how energy efficient that is going to be. Still can't get the room below 75 degrees. It does blow cold air, just does not cool our room sufficiently.

I ended up having to return the unit because it would not cool off. It would blow hot air instead of cold air then when I finally got it to cool after making sure everything was on right again, it wasn’t actually cold it was slightly cooler than hot. I bought a different brand and it automatically came on cold. This told me that it was not me it had to be the unit

This AC is not efficient, it doesn't last at all. They automatically come with a 1yr warranty so we called the manufacturer, after some hassles, they finally came through and replaced it with a new one. Well once the new one arrived, we installed it immediately then turned it on. It blew cool especially at first but after a few months it turned out just like the one before so now that one is in the trash. I don't recommend this brand at all.
