I bought this AC to cool my bedroom when the house central AC went out. I ran it on the coolest setting of 64 and it ran non stop but could only cool the room to 74; my bedroom is 300 sf so well in the ideal range. When I set a thermometer on the airflow it registered 64 but even with the blinds and thermal drapes, and door closed the room stayed at 74. I'm grateful as it has been a lifesaver while waiting for a backordered central AC. Sam's had a great price on it.

Purchased a DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioner in 2017 & 2018. Alternated using each unit for just the summer and only at night in our Master bedroom. The unit we purchased in 2018 was ONLY used in 2019 & 2021 and now does not blow cold air. When the unit was not in use, it was stored in a dry closet. Called DeLonghi and they said because I did not use the unit consistently it wore out--ARE YOU KIDDING ME--THAT'S INSANE!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Visiting my daughter in San Antonio and every day over 100 degrees when her central air burned out. This efficient portable unit installed quick and easy. It was the perfect solution to keep the main room survivable during the week it took for main A/C replacement. My daughter will continue to use as highly energy efficient supplemental cooling.

I ended up having to return the unit because it would not cool off. It would blow hot air instead of cold air then when I finally got it to cool after making sure everything was on right again, it wasn’t actually cold it was slightly cooler than hot. I bought a different brand and it automatically came on cold. This told me that it was not me it had to be the unit

We recently bought 2 of these portable A/C units for back up cooling if we lose power. They are currently plugged into our back up solar generator. We supplement the house A/C in the meantime with free cool air. My husband made stryofoam window fittings for the different sized windows so we can use the units anywhere in our house. Very glad to have them now and especially if we lose power.

I am more than pleased with this purchase. This is a workhorse portable AC unit and really does the job in an area larger than the advertised 500 sq ft. I own other Delonghi products that have lasted many years and I'm hoping this one will as well. My only disappointment with this unit is that the air flow direction is not adjustable. Also I do wish there was a better way to drain the de-humidifier unit as the tube provided easy to lose. (or maybe they could have a compartment to keep the tube in). I really don't used the de-humidifier though. Lastly, I'm not nuts about the typeface of the model stamped on the front, but that's no big deal.

This AC is not efficient, it doesn't last at all. They automatically come with a 1yr warranty so we called the manufacturer, after some hassles, they finally came through and replaced it with a new one. Well once the new one arrived, we installed it immediately then turned it on. It blew cool especially at first but after a few months it turned out just like the one before so now that one is in the trash. I don't recommend this brand at all.

I am loving this air conditioner! I have a small, fairly sound resistant music studio that I built in my garage that is about 160 square feet in size. I needed an air source and a way to cool the air. This air conditioner is just what I needed. In my case, rather than vending it through a window, I am vending it through a wall, but the concept is the same, and it works great!! I find it to be not too loud when operating, it has great air flow, and it is keeping me cool and refreshed. I am very happy and highly recommend this air conditioner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently built on to our house, making it bigger than our current central ac can cool. It's also a 130 year old home that isn't insulated the best. It gets very very hot here in south Louisiana. Every afternoon it is almost 90 inside my house even though our thermostat is on 65. I added this portable Ac unit and we are finally cool! I was able to put both units on 72 and it's 72 in my house! Both units are shutting off instead of running all day and my electric bill being sky high. It says it cools 500sq ft but it feels like a much bigger area that it cools. It was very easy to install, it took only minutes. It is made very well and easy to roll from place to place if needed. I'm very happy with the unit and so is all of my family. We aren't miserably hot all the time.

This my my solution for the summer nights that are super hot. This unit works perfectly in my bedroom. It's not to loud. Actually a lot more quiet then my last one and this unit is much more powerful. Install was super easy and placing the windows piece was quick. Comes with remote and has several options for temp, dehumidifier and fan. Goes down to a cool 64 and really makes it icy cool the way I like it. We used several kinds last summer when our AC went out in the middle of summer. This by far has been better and has a lot more sq footage it covers. DeLongi has always had great quality products and this once again exhibits that. Great design and quality. While this might be slightly higher the others I can tell you that you would need two cheap units to equal what this does. So really are not saving money or space for that matter. If you need a portable AC unit I highly recommend this one. One thing I like is that this one has wheels making portable for any room.
