We bought this because our A/C has been out for 3 weeks. We have something similar upstairs for 3 years, so we needed something for downstairs. This cooled everything down so we can be comfortable. The only thing negative is that it's pretty loud. However, when your house is 88 degrees inside, you won't care how loud it is. Definitely worth the money, especially if it lasts as long as my other one.

Would be better if the ac blew from the front instead of top. It gets cold but could work so much better if vents were configured better. It is heavy and you do have to empty water from condensation. For the price it wasn’t too bad but a window unit would work much better.
