Excellent machine but can't be set to < 64 degrees

Overall, I am very happy with this product. The only thing I don't like is that the thermostat cannot be set to less than 64 degrees. I've positioned the AC in front of my treadmill and would like to set the thermostat to less than 64 when I'm doing a run.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I would NOT recommend at all, the hose that goes out the window gets so HOT you are not able to touch it. This is a real safety hazard especially if there are small children who might come in contact with the hose. I was really concerned with a fire.

DO NOT BUY DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioners!!!

Purchased a DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioner in 2017 & 2018. Alternated using each unit for just the summer and only at night in our Master bedroom. The unit we purchased in 2018 was ONLY used in 2019 & 2021 and now does not blow cold air. When the unit was not in use, it was stored in a dry closet. Called DeLonghi and they said because I did not use the unit consistently it wore out--ARE YOU KIDDING ME--THAT'S INSANE!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

So far, so good

I bought this unit to cool my office in my older poorly insulated home that gets very uncomfortable in the summer despite central AC. Three days later my central AC went out! I used it overnight in my bedroom and it was amazing, kind of chilly with the door shut. Today I situated a big fan in front of the air output and it cooled the main living area by about 6 degrees so far. The air output is very cold and I am pleased with its performance so far.

Do not buy

This AC is not efficient, it doesn't last at all. They automatically come with a 1yr warranty so we called the manufacturer, after some hassles, they finally came through and replaced it with a new one. Well once the new one arrived, we installed it immediately then turned it on. It blew cool especially at first but after a few months it turned out just like the one before so now that one is in the trash. I don't recommend this brand at all.
