Bad batch, or shoddy workmanship!

This is the 2nd one of these units in the last couple months! Extremely disappointed in DeL Will be returning 2nd one!!!onghi. Sadly, I would have to go with shoddy workmanship. Cheap parts, that wouldn't cool a 50 sqft room. Sams Club was good about picking the last unit up, repacking back into one body is a nightmare. Will be returning ... Again!!!

Only works some - and support isn't helpful

It's an air conditioner. It's supposed to pull moisture out of the air and into a bucket. Well, it did for a week or so, but then stopped. Then, later, it started again. No rhyme or reason.When I called support, they said it only does that if there's humidity. I live in Florida, this was summer....of course there's humidity. One year in, it barely does anything. It's junk after 1 year?

Works great but doesn't last

I bought an older version of the DeLonghi Pinguino several years ago and it lasted 2 years. I bought this model last year in May and it only lasted until August. These are large, very heavy units with compressors in them. Now I need a new one for this summer and I have to figure out how to dispose of the old ones. Pretty sure I'll have to pay for disposal. I'm going to try a different brand to see if I can get more than a few months' use out of it. My window won't support a window unit so I'm stuck with this bulky "portable" type model, unfortunately.

Great little unit.

Very happy with this unit though I agree with the other poster that it needs insulation around the exhaust hose because it produces a lot of heat. That said, I haven't done that and it still works very well. Keeps my 450 sq ft apartment chill. That said, re: some of the other posts, you can't turn your AC off during the day extremely hot weather and expect it to catch up at night. I lower the temp a bit when gone, turn it back up when home and haven't had a problem with staying cool in the evening.
