Wont balance

Mounted on 2021 gmc at4 hd. Tires have enough weight on their to fish for a lifetime. Had them balanced twice and one roadforce balance. Same issue. Vibrates in rear. steering wheel wobbles. So its more then one with a issue. Ruined a 100k truck that drove like a dream with the factory goodyears now has a massage feature throughout every seat. Terrible tires ad bfgodrich should reimburse the customers.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing vibration issues. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Because of this feature, problems might arise if the tires aren’t seated properly. The tires may look installed correctly but the tires sometimes won’t be seated uniform against the wheel edge. We recommend consulting with your dealer to ensure the proper mounting lubricant is used and asking them to reference the BFGoodrich Guide to Mounting Performance Tires video for best practices: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPZcVeJQaOc If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to give our Consumer Care team a call at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

A Great Tire that needs a Good Tire Shop to install

Simply put, most all of the 1 star reviews seem to be from people with newly mounted tires that have balance issues. A good tire shop familiar with BFG's and 8-12 ply tires is a must. These need a good quality Paste (lots of it) when mounting to ensure a bead seal and also road force balance (without rushing thru it because they are a trying to max the number of tires sold that day). I spent quite a while in the shop waiting and watching the install, but it was worth it. That said, all Tire Companies sometimes have an imperfect one come off the line, but in that very rare situation a good shop will spot it and stop the install and order a replacement (not put it on anyway knowing it was not right). I have had no issues with mine at any speed and I love the grip, low road noise and overall feel of these tires. Plus, they look super cool ! Very happy with my choice and confident they will last for years.

The BEST Tires

I have been a long time user of All-Terrain T/A's because they are simply the best tires. I actually take my pickups and SUV's off-road and flats and tire failures are not an option. I have never had an issue with the many sets of All-Terrain T/A's that I've bought over the years. These KO3's, so far, are no exception. I've got about 3K miles on this set and they are just as good, if not better, than ever. They are just as at home on the highway as they are on a mountain trail. Driving in downtown Austin or up the panhandle hunting whitetails, they are stable and tough and they look pretty good, too.

Impossible to balance, extremely disappointing

Bought a full set of 5 for my truck, was very excited after seeing reviews compared to other brands in the same class. Had them delivered mounted and balanced on a new set of wheels and tires from Tire Rack. Put them on the truck, made it about 2min down the road before I felt vibrations. After hours of back and forth with TR and hundreds spent on balancing and road force, they still couldn't be balanced. Infuriating and disappointing. I returned them and swapped to a different brand in the same class and they run absolutely fine, as do the factory set.

Matt, we are so sorry to hear you experienced vibration issues with your All‑Terrain T/A KO3 tires and appreciate you sharing these details. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Because of this, vibration can occur if the tire is not seated uniformly on the wheel, even if it appears properly installed. Our Customer Care team is always here to help if you have questions in the future. Please call 866‑866‑6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Here we go..

With approximately 20,000 miles of use, these tires have developed pronounced cupping, severe uneven tread wear, and chronic balance issues that materially affect ride quality, noise levels, and highway safety. This deterioration is far outside what any reasonable consumer should expect from a premium all-terrain tire marketed for durability and long service life. The tires have been maintained to a standard that eliminates typical user-error explanations. Tire pressure has been consistently maintained within BFGoodrich specifications. The tires have been professionally balanced and rotated at 5,000-mile intervals. A professional alignment has been performed and verified to Thuren Suspension specifications, which fall well within acceptable parameters for both on-road use and tire longevity. Suspension and steering components are in proper working order with no abnormal wear or mechanical deficiencies that would explain this pattern. Despite this, the tires are now extremely difficult—if not impossible—to balance properly. Road noise has increased substantially, and visible cupping is present across multiple tires, indicating a systemic issue rather than an isolated defect. The uniformity and progression of the wear strongly suggest a defect in construction, internal belt integrity, or compound consistency. Of particular concern is that this experience is not unique. A review of publicly available consumer feedback reveals a significant number of similar complaints describing premature cupping, uneven wear, and balance instability with the KO3 model. This establishes a documented pattern of failure. To date, BFGoodrich has not issued a recall, technical service bulletin, or public acknowledgment addressing these recurring defects, despite what appears to be ongoing constructive notice. For a tire positioned and priced as a flagship all-terrain product, this level of performance at only 20,000 miles is indefensible. The condition of these tires represents a premature loss of value and raises legitimate questions regarding quality control, product testing, and corporate response to known issues in the field. I purchased these tires in reliance on BFGoodrich’s reputation for engineering, durability, and accountability. Based on this experience, that reliance was misplaced. Absent a meaningful response or corrective action, I cannot recommend the KO3 and would caution prospective buyers to carefully consider the growing body of evidence indicating premature wear and balance defects. BFGoodrich should treat this matter seriously. The consistency of these failures across multiple consumers suggests an issue that warrants formal investigation and corrective action, not continued silence.

After 10,000 Miles on Alaska Snow and Ice...

On my 2024 Colorado LT, these KO3's with the 3PMSF symbol have provided relatively sure-footedness in snow and most ice conditions. The rubber compound has proven itself in our cold weather, which have been at or below 0 degrees F. The only drawback to them on my Colorado are a stiff ride in the rear -- requiring me to slow down when encountering rutted and 2 or more inches of thick ice on Anchorage streets and our Glenn Hwy. Need to slow down to 45 mph in rutted ice conditions. Are they as good as dedicated and siped snow tires? No. Are they good enough for winter driving once you know their few limitations? Yes -- definitely. A solid 4 to a 4.5-star rating.

Look great, balance poorly, wet weather performance still not great

Issues with 315/70R17 F rated tires I recently got: 1. Cosmetically, there's quite a bit of flash on 3/4 tires. Not something I notice typically, but it's bad which makes me question manufacturing of these. 2. 2/4 tires took over 10oz of weights to balance. My previous KO2s on the same rims took less than 4oz. 3. Even with road force balancing, they still vibrate more than my KO2s. 4. Road noise is similar to KO2s. 5. Wet traction is why I bought these and they seem barely any better than the KO2s they replaced, which were pretty bad in wet/slush/ice. 6. They did great in the snow. Swapping them out for D rated ones in a few days. Hopefully that solves the balancing issue. Guess I'll just deal with subpar wet performance.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on the All‑Terrain T/A KO3 tires. We’re glad to hear they performed well in snow, but we’re sorry to learn about the balancing and vibration issues. BFGoodrich designs its off‑road tires with tighter beads to help prevent unseating, especially when aired down for off‑road use. Because of this, proper and uniform bead seating is critical, as a tire can appear installed correctly while not being fully seated evenly on the wheel. An authorized tire dealer can verify this and ensure the tires are mounted and balanced correctly. If you'd like to discuss further, please call us at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

they are just ok, not great not good

these are just ok, i have had them about 3k and they are a very heavy tire. which with the weight of the tire. cut my fuel enconmy about 3-6 miles per gallon, over a lighter tire, like the ltx ms 2. the road noise is not bad but not quiet, i use to run ko2s, i was happy with them but the ko3 its just average. it would be nice if they were to make this tire 5-10 lbs lighter, yes its a at tire and lt tire, but im diappointed. 3-6 miles per gallon lost, was it mistake putting these on,

What happened to quality?

Ion rally like my KO3 but now that my circle D model are coming to the end of there life. Im concerned about the Goodrich quality as far as balancing goes. I’ve heard a lot of reviews and it’s not good. With nothing but apologies but nothing about what’s being done to fix quality control. Thank you I’ll keep looking for quality. My opinion and apologies. See it means nothing.

Good offroad performance

Did fantastic in the clay slop. California valley clay is no joke, but even without airing down in my 2500 I was able to push through deep clay just barely touching the diff, they definitely self clean very well, caked everything up on the truck. But they kept pushing me forward.
