Customer reviews for BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 - LT285/70R17/E 126S Tire forDone with BFG
Have had multiple KO2's and always loved them. Bought the KO3's, load E, for my 2020 Ram 2500 Cummins hoping for the same result. No issue balancing as in other reviews but after 34k miles they are undrivable. The chop is so bad that you can't hear someone talk right next to you. Rotated multiple times, different ways and the chop will not come out, only gets worse. Own 2 more sets of these on 2500's with the same issue along with a roughly 3mpg loss when these were put on. BF was always the go to but not anymore, new tires go on next week and they won't be BF's.
We’re sorry to hear about the performance issues you've experienced. We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations aren’t met. We recommend visiting your tire dealer to assess the wear and performance concerns, especially regarding the chopping and fuel efficiency. Not Like Original KO
These tires are top notch worst I have put on a truck. Engineering from the original KO’s appears to have been negated. Reduced tread on the road. No longer a shoulder protection of sidewall. No longer is the tread square for shoulder to shoulder at all pressures. The tire now crowns after 50 psi on a load E tiire.KO 3 are junk just like KO 2. go back to the original KO design! I retained my original KO to compare.
Thank you for leaving your review. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with the All‑Terrain T/A KO3 tires hasn’t met your expectations compared to your original KO2 tires. Buyer Beware
I bought these tires after my previous set had worn down, although I achieved 70k miles from them it was time for a change. I had ran a set of the KO2's some time ago and didn't have much bad at all to say, so I tried these new KO3 series ones out. I got these in October, it's now January. I'm from MI, where we don't have the snow we used to but still get a fair amount. I fully REGRET wasting my money on these! Have less than 10k on them, an spent more time stuck or in a ditch than actual driving this winter. Even in 4wd, these tires have left me stranded several times. They seem to wear incredibly uneven, despite a brand new alignment as well as an entire front end in the truck. I hate to say this, as my KO2's really never gave even half the issues my KO3's seem to. In the region we have seen days of just 2" or so of snow, and others with 6"+ of snow. Wet heavy snow, to fluffy light powder. Every. Single. Time. I end up staying home. I will no longer be running these tires on my truck, I do not trust them nor feel safe with them. Even in the rain before winter, these struggled to maintain traction. Huge disappointment! Why are we promoting and charging top dollar for a tire that can be outperformed by a highway tire?!
We appreciate your review and we're sorry to hear your All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires haven't performed well in winter conditions. A member of our Consumer Care team will reach out shortly. In the meantime, feel free to call us at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).
A downgrade from the KO2 quality
Quality not on par with the KO2s which came as OEM on my Ineos Grenadier. I thought I was upgrading to my new KO3s in 285/75/R17 and in fact I have downgraded. I had my excellent Ineos Dealer here in Colorado install my new tires… Noticed right away my vehicle, which has just been aligned and was tracking perfectly with my KO2s Was pulling to the left… Then at two speeds around 30 and 65 the sound from the left front was noticeably different than the other three tires .. “woah woah woah” Going down the road as if the tires had been inappropriately worn, and this was in the first 10 miles… I’ll be taking them back to the dealer next week hopefully that one tire can be replaced and will be back in business. ) hard to tell the noise was so disappointing. I hope it’s only that one tire) … At the moment I have buyers remorse. I wish that I still had the option of the KO2 In the same size… if you’re concerned about the reviews regarding quality, balancing and construction, pay attention, they worried me and I thought maybe some people had just been unfortunate. I don’t think so…. I think this is indicative.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on your BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Because of this feature, problems might arise if the tires aren’t seated properly. The tires may look installed correctly but the tires sometimes won’t be seated uniform against the wheel edge. We recommend returning to your dealer for a full inspection of the tires and installation. If you purchased your tires within the last 60 days, please keep in mind they are covered by our 60‑Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If we can be of further assistance, please give us a call at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).
Sidewall Too Tender
Traction is awesome with these tires. I run 10 pounds of air in them with dry conditions climbing granite, decomposed granite, rocks and in the sand. I've recently been in the snow too. The tire holds onto snow as advertised. The sidewalls are falling apart and I'm so disappointed. The outer (black) layer is peeling off and exposing the white underneath. They looked awesome until I really used them. Once i took them offroad they started crumbling. I'm waiting for them to stop holding air soon because they were too tender on the sidewall. KO2s never had this problem.
amazing tires
I had the KO2s on my 2020 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss and absolutely loved them, so my expectations were already high. I recently put the new KO3s on my GMC Sierra AT4, and honestly, they impressed me even more than the KO2s. BFGoodrich really stepped it up with these. The KO3s have amazing traction in every condition — rain, snow, dirt, and even just everyday highway driving. The steering feels tighter and more controlled, and the ride is smoother than I expected for an all-terrain tire. They also look great on the truck, with a more aggressive tread that still stays quiet on the road. I was already loyal to the KO2s, but after running the KO3s, I can say they’re a serious upgrade. If you’re thinking about all-terrain tires, these are worth every penny. Highly recommend them for anyone who wants performance, durability, and a great look all in one.
ABSOLUTE GARBAGE TIRES
These tires are the worst tires I’ve ever bought. They’re dangerous in wet snow and ice. Last night on our way home the road was wet and the car in front of us slammed on their brakes to make an illegal turn. So I had to slam on the brakes and almost smashed into the back of them because the tires just slid. ABS was going crazy. I wasn’t too close to the car but because of their unsafe decision to stop and turn in the middle of the road it almost caused and accident. I originally went with these becase of the reputation of the KO2s. I heard that these were supposed to better than the KO2 and from everything I read on the forums and the reviews here and my personal experience I’d highly HIGHLY recommend against these tires. I’m very disappointed I spent my money on them and have to wait until I can save for a different set because we waited so long. But we got them at the end of the spring and didn’t experience them in wet traction until fall so we were well outside the 60 days by the time we experienced how crappy these are. If I could sue BFG for how horrible these are I would in a heartbeat.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the KO3 tires and understand your concern about wet traction. Your safety is our top priority, and we take feedback like this very seriously. While many factors such as road conditions, tire pressure, and vehicle setup can influence performance, we understand your frustration given the situation you described. Good wet traction, great cornering, somewhat noisy, terrible ride. Worst set of tires I have ever purchased. Been balanced twice lots of weights, and still feel like a bad tire. I wish I had seen a true review prior to buying these. If you enjoy a good ride buy something else!
Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry you are experiencing this issue. BFGoodrich off-road tires are engineered with tighter beads to help prevent unseating when aired down for off-roading. This design makes proper seating during installation essential. In some cases, a tire may look correctly mounted but isn’t evenly seated against the wheel rim, which can cause balancing or performance issues. Please consult with your dealer to ensure that the proper lubricant is applied to both the rim flange and the tire bead during the mounting process. If you would like to discuss further, feel free to give our Consumer Care team a call. Our number is 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).
Worst tire I've purchased
Coming from the K02 I was excited about the new K03. That's being said I immediately regretted it. The tires were rebalanced 3 times with zero difference. The vibration from 15mph and up was drastic enough to have concern about actual damage to my F150 Raptor. Dealer on the 3rd try had something like 12 Oz of weights on it, which is absurd in itself. I really belive that BF Goodrich should pull this product from the market before a class action lawsuit happens in regards to damaged cars and truck from vibrating thier vehicle apart....yes that bad. I never really leave reviews but considering the price and major issues with this product I felt compelled to do so. Buyer beware...sorry BF

KO3 sway
Previous tires were KO2 on a F250. I do small amount of off-roading but mainly around town and towing travel trailer. Installed new KO3 7K miles ago. Since then very noticeable amount of sway when towing. I have a Pro Pride hitch which eliminates sway caused by wind on the trailer, so sway that was not present with KO2 is now very uncomfortable with KO3. Do not purchase KO3 tires if you tow RV. Wish I had my KO2 back.
We’re sorry to hear about the sway you’ve noticed while towing with your All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires. We recommend having a BFGoodrich authorized dealer inspect the tires and installation to ensure everything is set up correctly for towing.
