[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unpacking and setting this unit up was easier than I thought it was going to be. Originally I wanted to place this in my attic where it tends to get hot but since my windows are vertical openings and opening outside the attachments provided didn't work out. I ended up placing this in my office. The attachment for the hoses were easily installed. Once I powered it on, I noticed the easier to read display panel and adjusted my settings easily. I do like the arctic whisper function which sets the fan on the lowest setting. The unit cooled my room down pretty quickly. I did like the fact it came with a remote but you have to actually point it at the front of the machine to work properly. This is a little less than ideal due to my room set up but it's still works fine and allows me not to get up totally to adjust any settings. I've been pretty happy with this unit I'd recommend this unit to anyone looking for a nice portable a/c unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in a smaller house built in the 1950's; in spite of having central air, our second floor (all bedrooms) has always been very stuffy when it gets very warm outside, even more so since we got new windows. We decided this would be the summer to get some extra A/C. We passed on a window unit, not wanting to risk damaging those new windows. We saw the DeLonghi Arctic Whisper portable (on wheels!) A/C, and thought, "That's the one we want to try." We are beyond pleased with everything about this unit. Setup instructions were clear and easy to understand. Our only problem came from our window well being a little too deep for the vent plate; but this was easily addressed by creating a shim from the strong foam packing material that was left from unboxing the unit and it's venting materials. We had things up and running in under 15 minutes, and it began cooling right away. Due to the excessive humidity the unit had to remove, we let it run all night. The next morning, things were cool and comfortable, so we switched the unit into 'Real Feel' mode, which has been working so well, we've kept it on that setting. A few times a day, the light turns green, and the unit will kick in for a little while until the light is blue again. One more thing I must mention - whoever came up with the idea for recirculating the condensate to cool the compressor is a genius. For our unit's first run, it had a LOT of humidity to remove, and we've had not even the slightest leak, not one drop. We absolutely love this A/C - Thank You, DeLonghi!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Arctic Whisper PAC AN370G1W 500 sq ft Portable Air Conditioner is great. I am so glad I recieved this when I did because temperatures starting soaring into the 100s and it was hot. My apartment does not have air conditioning and this is the best thing ever to own during a heat wave. It works so good and has kept my room cool and the hallway. This portable AC was very easy to set up, probably took me about 10 minutes total to get it set up. I did let it sit for the whole afternoon and evening before turning it on just in case it was layer on its side during shipping. As soon as I turned it on the next day it cooled my room off really quick. I have had it running for a couple days now since it has been up in the 90s here and it has worked perfect. It came with a control also. It has different settings to put the fan in, and you can also adjust it to be in quiet mode. What I really like is it's a dehumidifier also, that helps so much when it's humid. This Portable AC is very innovative and nice to own and I would definitely recommend this one for cooling!

It was very easy to install and came with everything to do it took me about twenty minutes from start to finish getting the tube set up and out the window with the window kit it came with. Another thing I really like about this unit is it's quite and that was something I was looking for in a air conditioner for my bedroom that way we could sleep through the night and not be waken as it gets very hot if the nights right now. Our bedroom is 300 square foot and it takes the unit about ten to fifteen minutes to cook the room down when it's off for a good amount of time so it doesn't take long at all. Another great feature I really like is the unit has three modes cool fan and a dehumidifier and where I'm at the humidity is just awful so we have used this feature quite a bit so get our humidity under control and I really love it everything has worked great we haven't had any kind of issues it runs and cools The room just perfect.

There are no pans of water to empty and the filters are easy to assess and clean if needed. None of these portable units is really quiet but this one does a pretty good job of minimizing the noise. I highly recommend this air conditioner

All 3 settings throw cool air, it also has a timer. It has a remote so you don't have to get up to change settings or on/ off. It was very easy to install. It is on rollers for easy moving. I definitely recommend it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved into a new house in this unit has been perfect for the upstairs portion of the house and keeping it cooler… It seems to keep the entire upstairs called off and we have been able to keep our air conditioning on a better setting so we are not having a high though… We will definitely use this throughout the summer months.
