Worked great for a total of 9 months (only used 3 mo in summers). Now compressor runs but the coil does not get cold. This unit is not made to last. Seems a lot of reviews say it lasts 2-3 yrs before it quits cooling. Going to try a different brand next time.

Originally I wanted to place this in my attic where it tends to get hot but since my windows are vertical openings and opening outside the attachments provided didn't work out. I ended up placing this in my office. The attachment for the hoses were easily installed. Once I powered it on, I noticed the easier to read display panel and adjusted my settings easily. I do like the arctic whisper function which sets the fan on the lowest setting. The unit cooled my room down pretty quickly. I did like the fact it came with a remote but you have to actually point it at the front of the machine to work properly. This is a little less than ideal due to my room set up but it's still works fine and allows me not to get up totally to adjust any settings. I've been pretty happy with this unit I'd recommend this unit to anyone looking for a nice portable a/c unit.

It cools , has a dehumidifier , it's really humid here so that's really nice to have also it has just a fan setting to. Really nice ! It didn't take long to set up and use it .The filter is washable and reusable. There's also a window kit that comes with it. Has a remote . That's a nice feature to have . Really cooled my bedroom and the air conditioner is very quiet . We really like it and think it's a great portable air conditioner !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Arctic Whisper PAC AN370G1W 500 sq ft Portable Air Conditioner is great. I am so glad I recieved this when I did because temperatures starting soaring into the 100s and it was hot. My apartment does not have air conditioning and this is the best thing ever to own during a heat wave. It works so good and has kept my room cool and the hallway. This portable AC was very easy to set up, probably took me about 10 minutes total to get it set up. I did let it sit for the whole afternoon and evening before turning it on just in case it was layer on its side during shipping. As soon as I turned it on the next day it cooled my room off really quick. I have had it running for a couple days now since it has been up in the 90s here and it has worked perfect. It came with a control also. It has different settings to put the fan in, and you can also adjust it to be in quiet mode. What I really like is it's a dehumidifier also, that helps so much when it's humid. This Portable AC is very innovative and nice to own and I would definitely recommend this one for cooling!

There are no pans of water to empty and the filters are easy to assess and clean if needed. None of these portable units is really quiet but this one does a pretty good job of minimizing the noise. I highly recommend this air conditioner

It is on rollers for easy moving, has a remote control, runs very quiet,adjustable temperature settings, easy hook up, simple cleaning and it really cools off a room in no time at all. This by far is the best air conditioning unit I've ever owned. I would definitely recommend the Arctic Whisper PAC 500sq ft Portable Air Conditioner to everyone!

Its quiet enough to keep in my room and sleep! The only downside is that this thing is so heavy. It was super hard to bring upstairs.

It comes with a hose to put on the back, for the warm air to exit out through , we have it through the window in our bedroom with no issues. I also really like all the features, especially quiet mode! It does a wonderful job keeping our bedroom nice and cool! Especially during this summer heat! Is very effective & efficient.
