Had this unit not quite a year and the condenser quit working. Live in area where it is only needed about 2-3 months. Worked great for that short time. Went to use it again this summer and worked for about a week, then quit blowing out cold air and condenser would not come on. Called DeLonghi since it has a 4 year warranty. First person I talked to said since I do not have an authorized repair center near me, they could send me out a refurbished unit. Was not too thrilled about that, but it was better than nothing. After sending proof of purchase, I get an email saying that I can ship it to get it fixed, at my expense, or take 20pct off another unit on their website. I sent replied saying how unfair this was, and have never heard back. It has been over a month now, and still no word. I would have gladly cut the power cord and sent to them just to get a working unit. Just glad Sam's Club has a great return policy! I will never buy another DeLonghi product as their customer service is the worst, and they do not stand by their warranty.
