We purchased this unit for our daughter because we were so pleased with the one we purchased for ourselves 2 yrs ago. Living in the Pacific Northwest there is not much use for air conditioning but with climate change have seen some pretty hot days and she couldn't be more pleased with the cooling efficiency, easy install and is not loud.

We needed to cool our new indoor patio. After searching the DeLonghi was our choice. We are very satisfied with the unit. It definitely over cooled the room quickly but the thermostat works excellently. We are able to keep the room at a consistent temperature. The noise level is not very annoying; we are able to listen to our television at a normal volume. The only minus would be what is expected of any indoor cooling system; that is the exhaust. It worked perfect for us; all the parts to get our exhaust setup was provided with the unit. We ended up fabricating the exhaust through a wall of the patio. The parts we used were of great quality and the exhaust looks professional installed. We are curious to learn more of the DeLonghi products. This unit was quality.

I shopped around, read reviews & didn't see many complaints about this product, BUT, I'm not sure what others criteria are for leaving a review... Had I left one within a week of setting up the ac, it would have been a really good review. After about 2weeks, we started having issues where the whole panel lit up & we couldn't tell what mode or temperature the ac is on. Then, it started blowing warm air... we have unplugged it, cleaned it, too to bottom, vents & all... still no improvement. So we left it off for about 20hrs & now it will blow coolish air, but the panel doesn't really work, so we still don't know what temperature it's at, or mode. I need to return this, but it's so heavy, I'll need to wait for help.

I bought this new one for my bedroom. I bought one four years ago for the living room & kitchen, and absolutely love it! The new feature of the quiet mode is excellent for the bedroom, beats the heck out of any window air conditioners I have bought!

Very impressed. Cools down our large master bedroom quickly. We had to purchase portable ac units for the bedrooms upstairs, as it was a waste of energy cooling down 4 bedrooms when only 2 were used. Living in the desert this has really helped keep the energy costs down and everyone can sleep comfortably at night. Easy to install, though if you have large windows I'd recommend purchasing the extension for the sliding door or making your own out of insulation board.

We use this unit to cool a bedroom that our central A/C unit doesn't cool well, due to the room getting direct sunlight all day. It does a great job! We basically hooked the unit up, turned it on, and haven't touched it since. Two features we like about this unit are: (1) the lights on the unit stay on. This is a benefit for us as the unit is in a bedroom and would be difficult to see in the dark. (2) the fan stays running while the compressor is off. When the compressor engages, the sound changes slightly, but not enough to wake us up. If you have ever used a white noise machine while you sleep, the fan sound is similar and consistent. We vented the unit through a sliding glass door. To do this, a had a piece of 6" lumber cut at a home improvement store to fit the vertical height on our door. We used a 5 1/2" width board with a tongue on one side and a groove on the other. The tongue fit perfectly into the door frame, holding the board securely in place. We used the groove to place a piece of insulation with a flange on one side that fit into the groove. Got the insulation at a home improvement store. It provides a good seal between the wood and the sliding part of the door. I used the oval exhaust bracket that came with the A/C unit to trace an exhaust hole in the board and a couple of small braces on the board to allow me to use the holes on the exhaust bracket to the board, lining the hole in the board with some 1/4" insulation. After this, the exhaust bracket from the unit snapped into the mate on the door, and I was cooling the room. This install enabled me to close my screen door, outside of the exhaust vent, to keep bugs, animals, etc. out. In the fall, I can disconnect the unit from the bracket in the door; slide out the wood from the door; and close things up for winter. Could not be happier with the unit's features or performance.

Purchased this A/C unit on the hottest day of the year! But, didn't get it set up for a couple of weeks due to my procrastination. The "window kit" sleeves fit the width of the window but the outer sleeve did not fit into the recessed portion of the window frame. I considered using the included extension but that would have required using all three pieces and having the two shorter pieces cut to allow for the elongated opening. After speaking to a friend decided to use the two-piece sleeve and added the included weatherstripping on the end edge and on top of the inner sleeve edge since it is a bit shorter. Added a couple of pieces of thin styrofoam from the packaging into the left recessed area and that created a tight fit. Turned the unit on and within a very short time my kitchen/livingroom area was cool. I am happy that I made the purchase so that my dogs are kept cool on hot days.

I bought this for a family member living in an apartment with no AC, large living room- dining room with high ceilings. This uni ty cooled the whole room we quickly. The only negative is that the exhaust tube connection to the window collar gaps. We used tape to secure it.

We purchased this as a back up for if/when our power goes out during hurricane season. This take a lot less amps that running our whole house unit so it will be easy to run off our back up power source. We ran it as a test and it works great. We were able to cool down a room in a short amount of time. It's easy to hook up and use. Now that we know that it works, we hope we don't have to use it.

I brought this unit because my air was out and I was waiting on my Home warranty company to fix ac. It worked wonders for my master bedroom which is huge with sitting area appr 700 sq ft but this unit covers 500 sq ft. Better than my other unit with same sq ft coverage..I would definitely recommend. Minimum white noise is to be expected but not too bad. I was just glad to be cool in 88 degree weather at night. This particular unit brought the temp in room to about 75. I would have to get larger unit to be colder for size of room Easy to assemble. Fit in my window better than other didn't have to use tape to hold in place. Touchscreen with different options. Emptied every two days but wasn't necessary not much water build up.
