Package arrived just as promised. I was pleased to find that it came with an extra set of shaver heads. It shaves effectively, though I find that it does not shave as closely as blade shaving, and, I did not expect that it would. My only negative comment so far, is that the on/off button is in a bad location as it is too easy to turn off while holding shaver to shave. Though it is comfortable to hold while shaving.

Very Happy with all aspects of my 5000. It can be used dry or with shaving gel. The dry mode gives a very good shave.I have always shaved with a razor and had to switch to an electric because I went on a blood thinner. I was not looking forward to switching to an electric after 55 yrs of using a blade. The transition has been a pleasure! I would highly recommend this product.

My first Norelco shaver was in 1969. I liked them then; I like them now. Though not top of the line, this one avoids some of the extraneous(to me) features such as cleaning tubs, flashing timers, etc. I really like the clean-under-a-faucet feature; it allows me to clean out the blade-dulling hair easily after each shave. I don't shave in the shower, but happy for that option. The razor charges easily and lasts me for about 1.5-2 weeks between charges. The cutter coverage is good-not great-, and does a really excellent job underneath the chin and neck area- not quite as good around the nose and mouth- because of the spacing of the cutter heads. I enjoy the separate trimmer- not as much of a hassle as I had anticipated. Glad the second set of replacement heads were supplied- I feel all of the heads are greatly overpriced. I'm in hopes that it will last me for a long time.

Replaced an earlier Norelco model which really worked great but I felt that the price was such an inducement to change to a newer model. Have not regretted my decision for even a nano-second. It is a faster shave and the clean up is easier than my previous Norelco model. This is my third Norelco electric shaver and I have no plans to change brands. If they keep making good products, I will stick with them.

My husband loves this shaver - bought it a month ago. Far better than the shaver he had.

This is a great shaver for the price. I have always preferred Norelco shavers over all other brands. This one gets only four stars because it does not have a built-in trimmer. It has a trimmer but you have to change the head to use it. But, for the price, that is OK.

This shaver is well balanced and light weight, which makes it very easy to use. It took a few uses to get a "close" shave, but I expected that. Clean-up is very easy, compared to my last shaver (plug-in). I saw the reviews about the on/off switch location and I can say that I have accidentally shut it off only once in several weeks of use. I really like the shaver and would recommend it.

The lighter I hold the the razor to my face the better it works.

The on/off button gets in the way when holding this shaver so I encountered several times when the shaver was inadvertently turned off. Having to remove the shaving head and insert a different head to trim sideburns is inconvenient and will, I think, lead to a damaged axle one day before the shaver unit itself wears out. The comfort of the 3 rotating shaver heads was good but did not provide a close shave.

Great couple of first shaves but dulled quickly.
