I like the ease of shaving, and, having used an electric razor most of my life, I rate this razor highly for its good shave. I miss quick access to a trimmer since extra time is neessary to attach the Smart Click Trimmer. Also, the on/off switch is positioned so that it can inadvertently get turned off during the shave.

I have used Norelco shavers as long as I can remember. Being born in The Netherlands and before immigrating first to Canada and to the US afterwards, I grew up with Philips radios. I believe in buying and using Philips products, which are made in my home country with great care and are of top quality. I bought the Norelco 5200 shaver, because it was cheaper than the replacement head for my Sensotouch(spelling?). The most remarkable thing of Norelco shavers is the super close shaves they give. I have never used soap and water and prevented cutting my face, thanks to Norelco. I am curious how and when you can improve your current line of Norelco shavers. Keep up the good work Philips.

This shaver works perfectly for me and is very light in weight.. It provides a smooth, efficient and fast shave. With my previous shaver, I had my skin was becoming sensitive to the shave. With this shaver, my skin is no longer irritated and red. I would recommend this shaver to family and friends.

I have an older Norelco that just keeps going with a new razor head every 6 months. I was carrying it to our summer camp and sometimes would forget to pack it. Decided to purchase another one to just keep at camp. This new Norelco shaves much closer than my older model ever did.

poor location of power switch. no holder for shaver. have to remove 1 cutting apparatus to use another takes 3 times longer to use than my 5 year old shaver--Norelco must go over my face 4-5 times for a smooth shave-never had to do this with any of the other 6 Norelcos that I have owned

My earlier version died after a number of years so I got this as a replacement. It works fine and has a couple of improvements. It can be cleaned under running water and the sideburn trimmer looks to be an improvement. I'm not sure it shaves as close as my prior version.

The blades seam very dull right out of the box. Have to go over each part of the face many times to. Even then it does not seam as close as my other 3 year old Norelco razor. Truthfully, I will probably be looking at other brands for my next razor. It's sad as i have been using Norelco for over 35 years.

I have been using electric shavers for many, many years, including multiple Norelco products. I have had the top of the line and lesser models, like this one.. it has proven better to replace them than buy new blades. This one is as good as any others, but as has always been my experience, not nearly as good as a razor.

I've used 3 different models from 2 brands in the past. Only one of them worked really well and it was the oldest one. The batteries on the one that worked were on their way to dead so I decided I needed to try something new. When I saw the Norelco on sale at Costco I figured I'd give it a try. Between the Costco return policy and the Norelco try out policy I had nothing to loose. I'm so happy I tried it. It is the closest shave I've ever gotten from an electric. It is exceptionally good on a longer beard. Sometimes I'll skip a day or 2 on the weekends. With the other shavers this always meant using the trimmer before shaving on Monday morning. The Norelco can handle the 2 day growth with nothing more than maybe an extra pass. Cleaning the shaver couldn't be any more simple. No lose parts, no taking things apart. Just push the button to pop the top and rinse. Close it back up and done. There does seem to be a little technique involved to get a good shave. Don't run it across your face in a straight line. Small circles as your moving it seems to work great.

I bought this model since it was a less expensive. I ;found it quite average and wished I had bought a more expensive model, but I'll have to continue using this now until I need a new one. It doesn't seem much better than the old one I had , a 7140XL.
