DO NOT BUY

This is going back. it will not work on a 5G network no matter what you do. They should include that information on the outside of the box. really disappointed in the printer. What a waste of time trying to set it up. How is that older models work and on a 5G network but this will not? Do better epson

Disappointing

I bought this to replace a less expensive, older Epson inkjet which had cartridges and dried up frequently. This new one was more time consuming to set up. It doesn't automatically extend a tray to catch the paper output like my older one did, but throws the prints on the floor instead. It's quite a bit bigger, too. It remains to be seen if it will dry out like the previous one did.

Great Multi-Function Printer w/ Impressive Photos

After hours of researching, I am glad I picked this printer. Setup using the app was a breeze, and the printer has exceeded all of our expectations. The printer is easy to use and feels very well built. I like how the automatic document feeder inlet and outlet can flip open when you need to use it, and can be flipped closed when not in use, giving the printer a very nice cohesive premium appearance. For simple tasks such as loading or changing paper, the small yet responsive display screen prompts the user automatically in case different paper is being installed. Using a pack of glossy photo paper to test the photo quality has also yielded impressive results. Although this is not a dedicated photo printer, we have been blown away by the photo quality and have had fun printing various photos straight from our phones which is also seamless. Again, photos aren't perfect; skin tones can look slightly washed out, but for an all-in-one at this price with such an abundance of ink, it's fun, easy, and painless (inexpensive) to just print out some color photos for fun, an experience I have never felt with previous cartridge based home ink-jets before. Regarding ink consumption; I have printed maybe 20x high quality 4x6" color photos and a dozen color/b&w copies since yesterday and haven't noticed a decrease in the ink levels besides the initial priming sequence during setup. I didn't want to go with HP after too many reports of software/connection issues. Brother makes good machines but needs to get on the ink tank game for better cost per print. Canon apps always felt clunky and the model this Epson is replacing (some MG2xxx I think) took up a lot of room and didn't have an ADF or paper tray. Definitely didn't want an ink subscription, so whatever printers have that nonsense were out. Very glad I went with Epson, and this model in particular checks all the boxes.

Satisfactory Printer

Bought this Dec 2022. Pros: Very easy setup. Clear crisp prints B&W and color. Prints out fast. Prints from Apple Phone Cons: Cannot do double sided scans!! , Cumberson remote print-by email, long email address. Remote print very limited options, double sided printing one of them. Cannot print Avery business cards. Ink just smears and never dries. ADF sporadically takes in paper and stops stating error. Sporadically copies spits out blank page first Somewhat Satisfied with printer at this point. Uses it for small church office. Small display options hard to select iff you have farmer size fingers.

Better and worse

This Epson is more inexpensive to operate due to ink in bottles, but is also cheaply made and has a poor document feeder. The software requires going into the menu each time to get proper print density for documents. My expensive to use HP printer lasted over 8 years, cost a bundle in ink cartridges, but was easier to use and the document feeder and scanner worked much better. It's a trade off between cost and function.

Love this Printer!

I love this printer!! I bought this about 6 months ago and it is an absolute work horse . A definite value for the money. Once in a while the paper won't "catch" and I have to help it, but it is a minor issue given the quality and price. The ink lasts a long time....Like a really long time. So impressed and glad I bought it.

Doesn't connect to phone as advertised

Couldn’t connect to my phone to print directly. 45 minutes with tech support didn’t help.
