first the flavor is great though might be a little salty for some but adding some lemon juice will help with that. the texture....well if youve had jerky in your mouth and it starts to "rehydrate" that's roughly it. I made it work with some egg noodles, cream of mushroom, and a little sour cream for a mock stroganoff.

In all fairness, the product is called "beef bites"...not steak bites. And keeping that in mind should help greatly with expectations. I thought the flavor was pretty good and the texture (often complained about) was like a small seared nugget of chuck roast. Think seared beefy pot roast chunks. Overall value for the quantity of mediocre beef with zero gristle or visible fat is high. Would buy again for quick weeknight value meal. I think even children would eat this as the chinks are quite tender and don't require too much chewing. Watch the air fryer timer, I suspect many people, like myself, ended up overheating these precooked chunks too much.
