Terrible
I would give Zero star if it was possible. extreme frustration and disappointment with the customer service I received at your tire center located at Edison Sam's Club #6369 883 Route 1 Edison, NJ 08817, during my appointment on November 27, 2024. This experience was by far the worst I have encountered, and I feel it is important to bring this to your attention to improve future interactions and maintain customer trust. I arrived on time for my 8:00 AM appointment, but due to issues with your computer system, it took 20-30 minutes to check in. Despite this initial delay, I remained patient. During the initial check-in process, I asked the technician to inspect and test the TPMS sensors. By 9:00 AM, the technician informed me that two of the TPMS sensors had dead batteries. I approved the replacement of these sensors at an additional charge. At 9:30 AM, I was also informed that the technicians could not remove the front driver's wheel due to a stuck lug nut and was told to reschedule. Since I was traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, I explained the urgency and requested that they proceed with installing three of the four tires while I brought back the remaining wheel within an hour once I got home and remove the wheel with my tools. This request was denied. As a tire center specializing in tire replacement, I was shocked to learn that your staff lacked the necessary tools, such as a breaker bar, to handle a stuck lug nut. I agreed with the manager that while they work on the other wheels I would go get a breaker bar. I obtained a breaker bar from a nearby store in less than 10 minutes and personally removed the lug nut in just seconds—something your technicians said was not possible. The agreement was to continue to work on the other 3 wheels that were serviceable while I got the breaker bar. Despite resolving the issue myself, your team took until 11:00 AM to complete the installation of four tires—a process that should have taken far less time given my 8:00 AM appointment. On top of all this the technicians explained to me that the TPMS sensors we had agreed to replace were not replaced because they didn’t have enough time. When I asked the manager for some form of compensation for the inconvenience, lost time, and poor service, I was met with unprofessional behavior. The manager laughed at my request and told me that your team had "done me a favor." After further discussion and the attention of other customers, she finally agreed to refund the installation cost. However, her comments to the technicians following the incident were humiliating and uncalled for. This experience was deeply frustrating for the following reasons: 1. Disregard for Customer Time: The four-hour delay wasted my day, and the failure to install the TPMS sensors after approving and paying for them further aggravated the situation. 2. Lack of Preparedness: A professional tire center should have tools and skills to handle common issues like a stuck lug nut. 3. Unprofessional Behavior: The manager’s attitude and comments were insulting and showed a lack of respect for your customers. 4. Missed Opportunity to Resolve: The situation could have been handled with more empathy and efficiency. I expected a higher standard of professionalism and service from Sam’s Club. I request that you address this matter seriously, ensure proper training and tool availability for your tire center staff, and consider additional compensation for the inconvenience I endured and the incomplete service.
Great customer service and a perfect install!
I bought a set of tires with the install package at Sam's store #4837 in Denham Springs, LA. Jeff and Chris were so kind and helpful The install went perfectly. As usual, I am satisfied with my tire purchase and install. I have been buying my tires from Sam's because of the service, great products, and prices for years. This store has amazing service.
Great Experience
This was my first time getting tires from Sam's Club and I was very happy with the entire experience. I placed my order online and then received an email once the tires arrived. Called to schedule for the next available appointment to get them installed. The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. I was able to schedule my appointment a few days later. Arrived a few minutes early for my appointment, checked in, and then went to eat a famous hot dog combo and chocolate yogurt. By the time I was done my new tires were installed and I was ready to go. The tire technicians did a great job and were very friendly. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend. ONE Improvement I would like to see from Sam's Club would be reserved parking spots for the tire center close to that side of the club. It would make it much easier for everyone ( club member and tire technicians) to find your car when dropping it off and picking it up.
Tire installation
Bought the tires on line, made a mistake and showed up at the FREEHOLD store, I did not have an appointment set. They looked up my info and took my car without question , did some shopping and before I could checkout my car was finished, they explained a few minor issues and what I needed to do to fix them were very professional from start to Finnish. I would highly recommend this store without question!!!!!! A+++++++
Superb service
Bought 4 new tires for the truck and 4 for the car. Had a nail within a month in one tire on the truck they fixed it no charge. On the car within 2 weeks something in the road caused 2 tires same side to run flat put the tires in the trunk took the car to the club they were unable to repair the tires sidewall punctures. They warrantied the tires for me however so only had to pay 20$ a tire to replace them saved me 360$ thank goodness! They are slow but for the warranty work i won't buy tires anywhere else.
Inexpensive tires cost more due to incompetent mou
Bought a set of tires and paid to have them balanced. Still had some vibration so I went to Goodyear to get an alignment as Sam’s doesn’t do those. Goodyear said the problem was poor balancing so I had them redo it figuring I was already there and Sam’s is 40 minutes from home. Called Sam’s to complain and ask for some compensation and they couldn’t have cared less. Lesson is buy tires from a professional company.
Goodyear LS-2 20" tires
Today, purchased 4 new Goodyear LS-2 20" tires for GMC Sierra SLT. Is third generation tires, truck having 114k miles. These tires have lasted approx. 55k miles on the 2 previous. Was tires that were factory install with puchased new in 2015. Auto center only took 1 hour to complete install, great service and timely.
Package installation is a great buy!
I ordered the tires online and at the end of purchase it came up with a schedule installation form. I scheduled installation and went to my Sam's Club on the scheduled date, as I was notified the tires were in. Only three tires were delivered. I also was told I should not have scheduled installation online, as they don't know their schedule and book multiple people for the same time. I made the second appointment in person. My appointment was 3PM, my car went in at 4:30, out at 6PM. My Sam's is short staffed, it's not their fault it took so long as it's really hard to find workers. I like getting tires at Sam's because you get more for your money. Road hazard is a real plus.
Great Service
The staff and management at my store in Wake Forest are exceptional. Always very pleasant, even when it is incredibly busy. Goes out of way to get the service done when promised. Stands by reputation and warranty of both products and services without any question.
Tire install is cheap but low quality.
The tire price was lower than others in my area but they are unable to address any Tire Pressure Sensor Module (TPMS) issues. TPMS is a standard. Every tire had a significantly different tire pressure when I checked that evening. Ranged from 34-47 pounds - not safe, not what the label on the door says. Balancing was good. No damage.
