Good Dryer, can't see the control panel too dim.

Control Panel is so dim that I am having to make labels so that we know what cycle to choose from. I've bought new lighting, turned off the lighting in the room; nothing helped it's just too dim. Dries very well but we cannot figure out what setting to put it on if we can't see the control panel. I would send back the washer and drier if they had a control panel that was printed.

Not user friendly

Do not recommend. I loved my previous LG set. I was able to select a mode, then customize the options to fit my needs. The only options available are what are preset and most are med/high heat settings. I have a lot of office work attire and baby clothes that all need low settings and this is just not an option unless you choose quick dry, but then you lose the sensing option and you can only time dry.

Hey Jay. It sounds like your new dryer isn't offering the customization you're used to, and it's definitely challenging when you can't select the lower heat settings needed for delicate items like office wear and baby clothes. We understand how important it is to have precise control over your drying cycles. Many of our newer models, while having optimized preset cycles, can often be customized further. You might find additional cycle options or ways to fine-tune settings through the LG ThinQ app's download cycles. This could provide the flexibility you're looking for: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-thinq-how-to-use-download-cycles--20152746918577 To help explore more options, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport with your dryer's model number and purchase date. Damp clothes constantly

It does have a big capacity, which is nice. We have had it for 6 months, and it has been very frustrating to get the clothes dry. I've tried every setting. The clothes are often slightly damp after every cycle, even with the heat and dryness setting all the way up. If I retry the cycle, it's sensors turn it off after a few minutes, even though the clothes are still slightly damp. The only way I can bypass this is by doing a "Quick Dry" cycle and turning the time up. The loads that aren't even very big are still coming out damp. I've checked and cleaned the vent hose and all filters, and there is no blockage. I've opened the door to the dryer and the door is covered in condensation still. Things should not still be so wet after drying at the highest setting for 1.5 hours. I've completely given up the hope of having a towel or blanket load dry fully in one go. I want hot, fluffy clothes, not cold, damp clothes. I don't have the time or energy to keep fighting with this thing.

It's ok.

Unlike your mom, it doesn't do great with larger loads.

Hi Bravo, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand you’re not seeing the larger‑load performance you expected from your LG 7.3 cu ft Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with EasyLoad Door and AI Sensor Dry, model DLE8400WE. This dryer is designed to manage full loads, and a few quick checks can help improve consistency. Make sure the lint filter is fully clean before each cycle, confirm the vent duct has no restrictions, and try using AI Dry or Normal so the sensors can adjust time and temperature for the best results. Grinding noise

I purchased this dryer a few month back and recently started noticing a grinding noise while drying.

Hey Cab! We completely understand how frustrating it is when a new appliance starts making an unusual grinding sound. A grinding noise can often be caused by worn components like the drum support rollers, a damaged felt seal, or even a small object caught inside. You might also find this resource helpful: https://shorturl.at/nLSfM. We'd love to investigate this and help you get it resolved. Please send us a direct message on social media to @LGUSSupport with your dryer's model/serial number. We're dedicated to getting your appliance running smoothly and quietly again! ^ Diego

Does a fine job and is Smarter than me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased your washer almost a month ago. Easy to use (even if it is smarter than I), and does a very good job. I like the tune it plays at the end of the cycle: it is so much more pleasant than a sharp buzz.

No right side vent for gas models- stupid design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I searched specifically for dryers with side venting and when I went to install it, I found that gas models don't support right side venting. Not only that, but the gas line sticks out at the bottom right by 3", so I also can't rear vent and turn right with the pipe, which is the way I need to go. And even if the vent went somewhere else, I can't push the dryer up against the wall because the gas line sticks out so far rather than being mounted at an angle, or at least cut back closer to the back of the unit. I haven't been able to use it because I need to build some crazy venting contraption to hook it up.

Great dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago . It’s very efficient and clothes are dry at end of cycle ! The door opens to the side and towards bottom . I expected it to open completely toward bottom but it’s less than half way open . I am not sure how beneficial that is to me .Still new so maybe I will find its purpose .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using my LG top load washer and dryer for a while now. Im going on 60 days and I'm really happy with them! Here's why I think they're a great choice: Dryer: Easy-to-Clean Lint Trap: The lint container is super easy to access and clean. I love that I can get it 100% lint-free, which is great for keeping the dryer running efficiently and preventing fires. Even the slot where the container goes is a breeze to clean! Fast Drying Time: My clothes are always dry in under an hour, which is a huge time saver. Automatic Shut-Off: This is a fantastic feature! The dryer senses when the clothes are dry and shuts off automatically. Not only does this save energy, but it also gives me peace of mind knowing it won't overheat or potentially cause a fire. Washer: Large Capacity: I can easily wash my king-size comforter in this washer, which is a big plus. Efficient Soap Dispenser: I like how the washer sprays all the detergent from the dispenser directly onto the clothes, ensuring they get thoroughly cleaned. Quiet Operation: It's not a noisy machine, which is a nice change from my old washer. Versatile Wash Options: I can choose a deep wash for heavily soiled items or a water-saving wash for smaller loads, which is great for conserving water. Overall: I'm really impressed with the performance and features of my LG washer and dryer. They've made laundry day much easier and more efficient. If you're looking for a reliable and feature-rich laundry set, I highly recommend checking out LG Top Load DLE8400BE!

Dryer is Nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this DLE8400WE to match the washer. My old LG combo W/D was over 15 yrs old and I was not satisfied with the seal inside my front loader. I could never get it cleaned always had black spots inside and outside the seal even if I cleaned it out. The smell inside the seal was really bad. The new dryer is really nice. It has electronic keypad and it’s easy to use. I like the newer update the dust container. We are happy on our purchase. Lg has been a good investment for us. Hopefully they will last a long time like our other combo.

Hey Rothy, thanks for sharing your experience with the DLE8400WE. It’s great to hear the upgrade has been such a positive change, especially after dealing with that old front‑loader seal. The updated lint container and easy‑to‑use electronic controls really do make a difference day‑to‑day.
