Excellent Dryer
I really love this dryer. I love the swing down door opening, it makes transfering my wash, from washer to dryer easier and it takes up less space. One thing I would change is the slanted top of dryer. It would be much better if it was a flat surface. It also dries quickly.

Couldn't be happier!
I started using my new laundry machines today and I absolutely love them. They take up less space than my old laundry pair but they're much bigger on the inside. Between the washing machine spinning out more water and the dryer working more efficiently, it took a lot less time to finish my laundry and that's a wonderful bonus. I also love how quiet both machines are and the way they play a happy little tune when they complete the cycle. I actually enjoyed doing my laundry today and I'm pretty sure I've never said that before.

An Important Flaw
Have only used this dryer 3 times now, but each time clothes have gotten caught by the edge of the lint filter. This results in the clothes not being allowed to tumble, and get twisted up in a spiral. Luckily no clothes have been damaged, but this appears to be a design fault with no apparent fix.

We have been very happy with our dryer. However, as of 7/20 we have been calling (12 calls thus far) due to error msg D80 flow sense. We have NEVER received a return call from a dryer specialist. Nor have we gotten a return call from a supervisor. We love all our LG appliances, but are extremely disappointed in your service department.

Don't fall for the bells and whistles.
This is the worst dryer we have ever owned. I regret buying it. Owned it 2( mid January -mid March) months and the heating element went out. We were told we have to have a professional vent cleaner come out first to check if that was the problem. We did that and it wasn't. LG has done nothing to rectify the problem besides string us along with promises of hearing from a dryer specialist. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
Can't fix it.
The dryer makes a rattling sound. LG has sent repairmen twice but have not fixed it. I have been waiting for over a month for them to line up another repair. They are ignoring/stalling me. I would NOT buy this dryer, and frankly I am beginning to doubt the quality of LG appliances.

Damages clothes
This is already clear and specific. I'd tighten it slightly so it reads more polished while keeping the frustration and the important details: Review I really wanted to like this dryer, especially because it was my first brand-new appliance purchase. Unfortunately, we've had several issues with it. Initially, the dryer kept throwing D80 codes. We ended up replacing all of the hoses and redoing the vent piping, which eventually fixed that problem. Unfortunately, we then discovered another major issue that, as other reviewers have mentioned, seems to be a problem with this dryer: it eats the strings and drawcords on clothing. Strings from pants, sweaters, hoodies, etc. get caught, tangled, and pulled until they knot up and essentially rip the clothing. We've had this happen to so many items—my clothes, my partner's clothes, and my kids' clothes—and unfortunately, several pieces have been damaged beyond repair. Aside from these two issues, the dryer itself works well. However, knowing what I know now, I absolutely would not have purchased it. If I had seen the other reviews mentioning the same problem beforehand, I would have gone with a different dryer. It's incredibly frustrating to spend money on a brand-new appliance only to have it repeatedly damage your clothes. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this dryer based on our experience.
