[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item as it was a very good space saver for my small garden, when i went to build it there were a couple of missing parts.I spoke to customer services who were rerally helpful and sent to items to me free of charge.Note i live in the UK and no delivery charge was applied.I would definitly use this company again based on the customer service they provided.VERY PLEASED

I waited a long time on the phone and finally gave up, but left my number. Jonathan called me back in just a few minutes. He's the nicest guy. I tried ordering some slats that broke or cracked. We. Talked about the price for each and shipping costs. I tried to get the best price with least shipping possible. Jonathan was very helpful and patient. As we completed my order he said since I was a 1st time caller that they would fill my order for free even the shipping! He made my day!

This product is exactly what we needed for out deck. When entertaining, we can use the units as benches or as a table. We bought four units to make two tables so when four couples come over, we are seated very comfortably. They sit outdoors and there will be no annual maintenance or staining! One unit had a damaged seat slat in shipping, the company sent one to me at no cost.

We love the finished product. Assembly was a bit challenging and a couple of suggestions for Lifetime are given later. I also used a screwdriver to loosen the extremely stiff cotter key by inserting and twisting the screwdriver into the end of the cotter key. The rubber mallet then was used to snap the key into the hole by holding the bar on a cement step with my foot and pounding a quick snap of the mallet to the cotter key loop. Perhaps a lighter weight cotter key would have been a better choice by Lifetime.

I bought the convertible bench for my small deck so I could use it for a picnic table. It is sturdy and looks wonderful! It's easy to convert to a bench just by squeezing the handle on either side. The hinge was missing a couple of holes and I had to call to get a replacement part. They sent that and had it in a week. Assembly wasn't too bad. I was able to assemble myself. Only tool needed that's not included is a needle nose plyer. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great design. Solid construction. Heavy so it’s not going to blow over or away. Packaging was banged up in transit so lost some of the necessary bolts. Called company and they shipped another set out free of charge. Understandable instructions made it easy for two people to put together in about 1/2 hr. Love being able to walk in to sit down at table. Flipping table into bench is super easy, although I find the slant of the back uncomfortable (I’m short - probably fine for larger person).

The bench has worked well for our little family. The slates did break after a while from being in the sun. When I contacted costumer services via email they quoted me a price and told me to call the 1800 number, when I did I was surprise that they offer to replace it for free under warranty. I was not expecting it and was really happy to save some money of course.

I bought a Lifetime folding bench a few years ago. One of the boards on the bench broke. I contacted Lifetime via email. The representative advised me that the bench was out of warranty, but he would gladly send me out a new replacement board. I can’t thank Lifetime and the representative enough.

Heidi responded to my request for two replacement planks (slates), and replied to me in record time. I am providing my EXCELLENT score solely based on Heidi's responsiveness. I do like the folding benches. I use them for a variety of purposes including sitting.

We bought 2 of these benches to convert them into a picnic table and the mechanism is smooth and they are larger and more sturdy than we expected--easily seats 3 grownups and they are great as benches and as the converted picnic table. One slat was damaged on the back rest and there was also a gouge in the box so it was obviously a shipping issue. I called Lifetime and they were very efficient and friendly and immediately sent out a new slat with the screws, no hassle and no cost within 2-3 days.
