[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always wanted a bench exactly like this to use for seating or picnic outside and especially knowing it would withstand our miserable, damp Pacific NW Weather! All my other benches, chairs rusted, molded, had to throw them out, but this one stood the test of time outdoors all year long & looks like the day it arrived. Took two of us to put together with great instructions included. Well made & constructed & looks Beautiful out there. Now I'm eyeing the Retro Patio With table set;)

Have had and enjoyed this bench for a number of years. In a recent high wind storm a large branch came down right on top of it. While the upper half was destroyed the lower half pretty much survived (one board was broken in one corner and the upper support arm was badly bent). While our garage roof was hit hard, the bench actually prevented the limb from damaging the sun porch. One torn screen, but the limb was perfectly balanced between the bench and garage roof. With very little pressure you could move the entire limb. If the bottom half of the bench had collapsed it definitely would have caused major damage to the sun porch. Thanks for a well made product! Brother-in-law is going to cut off the damaged upper supports and use it as a bench on his farm.

My present to myself this year was the convertible bench. It looks fantastic in my backyard. Assembly was easy [thanks to my son-in-law] and easy-to-follow instructions. We both commented on the blister packs of screws, nuts, etc. They were clearly marked so there was no confusion as to what went where. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase and look forward to using this both as a bench and table/bench. Most importantly, it is a very comfortable seat.

I saw this product and immediately knew it was what I was looking for. You need two people to put it together; there are a couple of screws that are complicated to work with. We live in Miami, FL, and this is the rainy season. One thing that we noticed, when converting into tables, was rust water coming from inside, even though no rust was visible from outside.

Lifetime products don't last. We thought it would last more than just a few years before the slats started to break. We had to replace half the bench slates within 3 years and now that the rest are failing after year 5, Lifetime won't send replacement slats. Very disappointing. A

I bought six of these convertible benches for an apartment complex and I am very impressed with the workmanship and quality of this product. The materials are above standard grade and believe it or not, you can actually read and understand the instructions on how to put them together. Well done Lifetime!!! If you are looking for a comfortable and nice looking bench that converts into a table top, this is the one you are looking for. It is very heavy duty and by the looks of it, it's going to be around for a long time. My hats off to you Lifetime for making a great product. Next time I need a product for the apartment complex, I will be looking at Lifetime products first.

We bought a couple of these as a gift for my parents, and they are wonderful!! If you don't have the money or space for a lot of patio furniture, these are ingenious. They love them and use them from the very first hint of spring, right up into the fall. These convertible benches are very well made. They hold up well to their 20 grandchildren.

We enjoy using this product on our small back patio area. It can easily be converted to a very useable table or changed to two benches instead, Our son was so impressed we ordered another one for him. It holds up well in our Florida weather, but could also be used on an inside porch!

We bought two 6 weeks ago and are very happy with them. They are comfortable, sturdy and should last years. We use them around our fire pit and they are great. They are almost 5 feet long so really can seat 3 people. It took my brother a couple of hours plus to assemble the first one on his own but the second one only took him an hour plus because he understood the process. He did not ask for any help.

I purchased this product about 4 years ago. Earlier this year the bolts that hold the plastic slits started popping out (within 6 month 10 of them have popped out). It appears that the metal frame where the bolt should go into the nut, just has a hole .. which rusted over time and no longer hold the bolt.
