A really convenient bench for our office break area. The ability to use it as a bench or a half picnic table is great! Instructions weren't bad and it did come with some basic tools, minus some pliers to install the springs. Had it put together in about an hour using just one person. It's well made and the material quality is also really high. Would recommend!

If I could give these benches a negative star rating I would. From the beginng they were difficult to put together. Then they retain water and when you convert the table to bench and vice versa the rusty water drips out all over the deck. After 2 years the face wood board began to spit and crack and then the screws one by one are rotting out. So much for LIFETIME!

I love how easy it is to go from conversation benches to a picnic table. The gray is a nice shade. My only complaint is that it seems to scratch fairly easy and shows water marks. I had a set before for about 12 years and it didn't scratch like this.

Purchased this bench because it offers the functionality that was very appealing to me, it's a two in one. I recommend reading through the manual before starting assembly and use some of the cardboard from the box so your bench doesn't get scratches. The bolts can be a little tricky to line up but just manoeuvre until it lines up. Just finger tight the nuts until all have been aligned. Do not over tighten. When assembling section 2, take your time, the cotter pin (ctu)is a little fiddly. Once I got to section 2.7 I decided to put some grease between the metal plates as I would say that's where metal on metal would start to rub against each other ( less friction). Spring wasn't an issue but will need long nose pliers. Attached the top making sure it's the correct orientation. All done. I was expecting something slightly heavier but very happy with this purchase.

Easy to set up and excellent quality. Would definitely recommend

I received 2 benches and had them for a short time when we experienced golf ball and baseball sized hail. The benches held up surprisingly well, but a couple of slats were broken. Understanding this is outside normal conditions, I contacted customer service to see if I could buy replacement slats. Lifetime not only provided replacement slats, but did so free of charge. Thank you Lifetime!

We have a lot of porch space and have 2 of these full tables (4 benches). They are exactly what we need when the family comes over. One set we have had for only 3 months and the other set for 5 years. They all function well and look great. The kids love to eat at them and the adults love to use them as a bench and sit on the porch.

We love the finished product. Assembly was a bit challenging and a couple of suggestions for Lifetime are given later. I also used a screwdriver to loosen the extremely stiff cotter key by inserting and twisting the screwdriver into the end of the cotter key. The rubber mallet then was used to snap the key into the hole by holding the bar on a cement step with my foot and pounding a quick snap of the mallet to the cotter key loop. Perhaps a lighter weight cotter key would have been a better choice by Lifetime.

I waited a long time on the phone and finally gave up, but left my number. Jonathan called me back in just a few minutes. He's the nicest guy. I tried ordering some slats that broke or cracked. We. Talked about the price for each and shipping costs. I tried to get the best price with least shipping possible. Jonathan was very helpful and patient. As we completed my order he said since I was a 1st time caller that they would fill my order for free even the shipping! He made my day!

Bought this in the fall. Took it out of the box for storage in my garage and when I went to put it together last weekend some parts were missing. I called and like magic my parts were on the way to me. Great company—great employees and I love my bench.
