Stopped working 4 years don't buy expensive
Lasted only less than 5 years. I had to replace the rubber right away because mold kept building and let me tell you it's not cheap 100 bucks. This thing just stopped working rattling super loud. I would tell you to save yourself a headache and but a top load this is what I'm about to do unfortunately.
Greetings! It makes sense to want lasting value from something you’ve invested in—especially when you've put time, effort, and money into keeping it in good shape. Let us help. I have shared a Samsung link below to help with your experience with the washing machine. The link contains an embedded video that we recommend watching in full, as well as hyperlinks that can be visited for additional help. Samsung washing machine is noisy: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001985/ Mold in washing machines—especially front-loaders—can develop due to leftover moisture, detergent residue, and limited airflow, creating ideal conditions for mold growth. Areas such as the rubber door gasket and detergent drawer are particularly prone to buildup. Because these conditions result from everyday use, it’s important for users to take preventive steps: regularly wipe down damp surfaces, leave the door open after each wash, and run routine cleaning cycles to keep the interior dry and fresh. Proper maintenance is key to preventing mold and preserving the washer’s performance. Great Washer
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We find this washer to be everything we need it for , the only thing I'm not happy with is the wash cycle that has to happen after I believe 40 washes and it needs all HOT water to do this for 4 hours
Happy to have it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Bought this a few months ago, bc a 6 yr old model I had conked out. For the price I couldn’t complain and because it’s a newer version of the one I had before, it matches my dryer. So far so good, it gets ran multiple times a week with no indication of slowing down.
Large Family Approved
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have now had our samsung washer for a few years and it has deffinitly lived up to its claims. As a family with 4 kids between 14 and 20 I will tell you the laundry piles up quickly and with everything piece of clothing now in adult sizes we need to be able to do large loads and be efficient at doing them. So far everything has worked really great and has held up very well. My main observation and some info I will pass on is don't ignore the maintenance. The reminders to clean the washer is there to extend the life of your washer and to keep it running well. I have implemented cleaning out the removable filter/trap as well as wiping out the bellows of any debris prior to running the clean cycle. My reason is I have found out that our filter will clog up nearly coinciding with the cleaning maintenance alert from smartthings. On a couple of occasions we have had cycles not complete due to water not being pumped out efficiently and each of these times the fioter/trap was full and needed emptied. Being a smart device it has been nice to be able to check in on the cycle. It's nice as it gives you notification when the load is complete. This is great as the cycle complete chime from the washer is not very loud and easily missed. Overall a great unit that should treat you well.
Sounds like a jet engine
This is the worst washer I have ever had. It started making noise when spinning in just 1 year after purchase and now sounds like a jet engine. Search online and you will find that the bearings fail and this is a common problem with Samsungs front loads. Stay away!
GusM, we know how frustrating it may be to have a washer that makes noise when it spins. We are here to help. If your washer makes a noise that sounds like a jet preparing for takeoff, some of the possible causes for this noise come from excessive use of detergent (or non-HE detergent) or overloading the washer. Here is a link to help you. Please choose "Jet Noise," click on the embedded word and watch the video included. Love my new set
I bought this set two days ago. Only two minor complaints: washing machine cord very short, would be find if you lived in a modern home where you maybe stacking these, but for a older home, it is a challenge. The packing bolts; extremely confusing instructions given. You have a very long screw which you assume is the bolt, but in fact you have to pull the bolt out after removing the screw. If your little black cover does not fit in the hole, you still have a bolt to remove.
Hi New set rocks, thanks so much for your kind words! We sincerely appreciate your feedback and will share this with our team. We hope you enjoy many years of great entertainment with your Samsung Washer!
Front loading washers STINK!
It came with the house, and was brand new. The washer did a wonderful job at washing clothes. It is quiet, and seems to be very efficient. The reason I gave it a three Star rating is because it is a front load washer. This is the second front load washer we have owned, and after the first, I said, I would never buy one. But it came with the house we bought. We have lived here for two years and it is time to replace the washer. The problem with front load washers is that no matter what you do, they always tend to smell like mold and mildew. We would leave the front door open on the washer. After each load, I cleaned the washer every time it started to smell or when the washing machine told me it needed cleaned. I ended up just cleaning it no matter what every two weeks. It still smells! I just don’t understand that at all.

Few issues, but work good!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer and dryer set as a replacement to our old Samsung set. We used the old set for about 20 years. So fast things are working good. There are a couple of concerns though. One is that the washer doesn't spin as well as our last washer. Our clothes felt almost dry with our older washer. This new one doesn't spin out enough water. Secondly, the door on the washer can't be changed to the other side. The dryer door can be changed. We are going to try to put the washer on the left side of the dryer and see if that works. The only problem we foresee is that the drain might not be long enough for this. All in all we like our new set. I've just downloaded the app for three "Smart Care" feature, but haven't used it yet. The reviews on the app store for this feature doesn't look good though. Time will tell!
Quiet large capacity Samsung Washer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer several weeks ago to replace my older Samsung washer. I am very pleased with how quiet it is and that it can handle large loads of laundry. It cleans the clothes better then my older model too!
Quiet and Efficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m happy with my purchase. Not to mention the aesthetics… black is very chic! Also, it washes very quietly. If you’re not used to a newer washer (my old one was from the 90’s), then you’ll enjoy all the new bells and whistles this one has - the chime it makes turning on and off, flashing lights and many options to wash different loads of items. All in all, I’m very pleased with my new washer and dryer!
