[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I have owned a number of over the ear headphones from a number of different brands, these wireless noise-cancelling headphones from Sony are the absolute best! The noise cancelling function (this is my first pair of headphones with that feature) is no gimmick - it really works! Now I can focus on the great sound rather than external noise, and in a house with young children, there is a lot of distracting noise! The noise cancelling feature, as with many of the features, is adaptive, so it takes into account your surroundings which is really cool. I was blown away by how light these headphones are too! That they are lightweight combined with incredibly soft ear cushions makes for a really comfortable pair of headphones that can be worn for extended periods without ear or other discomfort. The battery life is phenomenal and the app works fantastically. You can even take a picture of your ears to customize the audio features with some of the high quality music streaming services (which you get a nice free trial). It really does make a difference. The case is also convenient and slim as well and is firm enough on the outside that it protects the headphones. Overall, this is an awesome product that is lightweight, super comfortable, portable with great battery life, and of course, offers excellent sound with noticeable noise cancellation. I can't thank Sony enough!

A smarter version of the previous model. Great sound and improved noise cancellation are complemented by upgraded features. 'Speak to chat' feature is especially handy, it automatically recognizes your voice and pauses noise cancellation and music whenever you speak. Also, it is great to be able to connect my headphones to two devices simultaneously. Battery life is impressive as ever. Great experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] these headphones are everything! i am currently in school and spend a lot of time on my computer. i usually use my airpods but theses are even better for studying! i like how comfortable they are on my ears. dont get me wrong, I love my airpods for working out and other things but for long periods of time thesse work great! noise cancelling is amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones are amazing! I started using them a week ago and I already feel I can not live without them! First of all, I was very surprised at how comfortable they are and how well they adjust to my head. They are lightweight and not bulky at all! They were easy to connect to my phone by using the Sony Headphones App which is easy to navigate and use, and has many features like giving you the ability to control the background sounds. I also love the buttonless control panel on the side. The sound quality is amazing and the noise cancelation works great! I had them on while the rest of my family was watching TV and I could not hear anything but the podcast I was listening to. This is so great because before I would have to turn the volume up very high on my phone to drown out the TV noise and it would hurt my ears! I also have been using them while I work from home. It is so great not to hear my dog bark or the grass being cut while I am trying to concentrate on my work. I also love the carrying case which will be great for using them when I travel on an airplane. This is a great product from Sony and I highly recommend these headphones. My husband is already wanting a pair!

Sound is beyond perfect.really comfortable fit ,they don't hurt your ears at all.noise canceling is excellent. Really nice carrying case for them.really like the touch to pause feature. I’ve stuck to earbuds for the last however many years because I couldn’t use skull candy headphones with my iphone (the big ones were aux cord connected for the longest time). The charge on these bad boys lasts way longer than any set of earbuds I’ve ever had, the noise canceling feature is top-notch. I could be sitting next to a train and not hear anything.

Great product, received as a gift. Sound quality is excellent and this is the first time I have tried headphones with "hearable bass". The noise-cancelling is great when reading or performing daily routines (cleaning etc.). Althrough expensive, if you can afford it, then it is definitly worth a buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are like me, you're deciding between these 1000XM4's or the Bose 700, and after using both, I can definitely see the appeal in these. Battery life and ANC are stellar in these sets of headphones, and audio quality is great as well! Design is rather subdued, but in a good way. These are comfortable headphones with ample padding without getting too heavy, and a case that makes it smaller to pack than the Bose 700. I wish these Sonys had better audio pickup for phone calls, as it doesn't quite stack up to the 700s. What it does bring to the table is great overall package, specs to beat, and a good price to match. As for the comparisons between this or the Bose 700, you really can't go wrong with either, but it should end up being a design choice and whether or not call pickup quality is value high on your list.

I realize now that all of the other "noise cancelling" headphones that I have bought in the past were not actually noise cancelling. These definitely are. I'm amazed by how much noise is cancelled. Even if the noise cancelling feature is turned off, these still block out a lot of noise. They sound extremely good. Music and audio are crystal clear, and there's a bit of a nice bass rumble. They were super quick and easy to connect to my laptop and my phone via bluetooth. I love that they can be connected to 2 devices. The bluetooth range seems to be very good. My home is only around 1600 sq ft and I can walk all around the house without the connection cutting out. I very much love that the noise canceling feature can be turned off to allow ambient noise in. I like to be aware of what's going on around me while I am wearing headphones out of the house. There's also a setting that pauses whatever you're listening to when you start to speak. There's also a Quick Attention mode that turns off noise cancellation and turns the music down when you need to quickly listen to something - just cover the right headphone with your hand. That's very cool! They will also pause when you take remove the headphones from your ears. They look really nice. I love the combination of matte black with copper colored logo and accents, they look great! The carrying case is very cleverly designed to allow the headphones to fold up inside it. There's a mesh netting on one side of the outside of the carrying case, I'm not exactly sure what it's for but it can hold something. It's pretty slim and flat and easy to put in a bag and take anywhere with you. The case has an airplane adapter in it, as well as a cable for wired listening, and a short USB-C charging cable. There is no instruction booklet, but I found one on the Sony website that was really helpful, it's very detailed with illustrations and videos. The app is handy, though I haven't used it very much yet. You can control many settings there, like the speak to chat feature, ambient sound control, and there's a noise canceling optimizer you can run, different equalizer settings, etc. You can turn the headphones off with the app. It will also analyze your ear shape, but I have not done this yet. You need a photo of your ears, and you have to remove any ear piercings, and I have too many to remove so I skipped it. The headphones sound absolutely fantastic just as they are. There are touch controls on the outside of the right headphone - you can use your finger to swipe up or down to control the volume, and swipe right or left for going back or forward a song. Very cool! The battery life seems to be very good. I can listen to them for hours a day and only use maybe 10 to 20% or so of the battery. They recharge pretty quickly. You can charge for 10 minutes and get 5 hours of play time, fully charge in 3 hours. They are very comfortable to wear. They're lightweight, the headband is padded and very soft, as are the ear pieces. You can slightly adjust the length to make the band a bit larger or tighter. They stay put on my head while I'm walking around and being active. It's really easy to forget you are wearing them. There are many other features that I haven't explored yet, like the voice assistant - I just don't have a use for that at the moment, but I appreciate that it's there as an option. And I don't get many phone calls so I haven't used it for hands-free calling yet. I am absolutely 100% in love with these headphones and would recommend them to anyone. They're fantastic!

Grate device, but quality of software so low. Looks like it is not native application, also without UI-design. I can't permanently switch off noise-cancelling. Please hire normal software engineer for writing software instead freelancers (or restrict hardware engineers writing software)
